Nope.. I think 4/1 is longest if u customizr via remixbox..
8/1 would really up the rmx value..
As you can with the later models CJDs... or the CDJ900..
This is an extremely beneficial feature for Vinyl DJs as the runoff is always a point of concern and makes for smoother, longer mixes.
Can the folks at Pioneer please take this change into high consideration?? It is a very important part of DJ

umm.. no.
can Pioneer give a definitive answer on this functionality and whether or not it is expandable and what plans there are, if any, to expand this "key" functionality in an external effects unit that ALREADY samples and playback loops.
i'm sure I am one of thousands wondering the same thing.
thank you
I think they should be able to cram it in there with some additional memory or smething.. Would really be great
You can do 8/1 if you set it via Remixbox. Correct me if im Wrong.
Can u show us how
@LVF- Sure. Open remixbox , move your cursor on the X-Pad. Click on X-Pad. You should now see all the parameters simple drag the 1/8 bar onto one of the X-Pad slot. There you have your 1/8 roll.
This is somewhat similar to the efx 1/8 feedback loop. Try and get back to us and see if it works for you.
Hope it helps.

Can't edit my post. I meant 8/1 not 1/8...
oh right. no you misunderstood, that's pre-loading a sample, no problems there.
What i am talking about is when playing live and sampling (looping) a track that is playing.. currently you can do that but only 1bar (4 beats) which is very short and sounds abrupt, because most musical phrases last 8 or 16 bars.
with cdj-900 and 2000s you can create loop points that last around 8 bars I believe. That is the functionality needed in a "REMIX EFX" box. That is what DJs want. Because it allows you to prolong mixes and make your sets sound more musical and flowing.
There should be a way to upgrade this, still waiting on Pioneer to chime in and give some advise.
Thanks.. happy holidaze!
@LKF now I'm confused. The way I explained above enables me to use the roll function on the RMX to roll/loop a certain length, in my case up to 8 beats not more.
How can you do the 8bars loop on say djm900?
CDJ-900 or CDJ-2000 loops.
I'm wanting to do similar or at least 4 bars in RMX-1000. Not rocket science. As it stands today, you can do no more than 4 beats = 1 bar in RMX-1000.
Right i get it now. Must be reading the wrong stuffs.
Can Pioneer comment on this topic??
Had similar questions in another thread, specifically this, the 15 sec time limit per bank and only slot 1 loops in each bank.
Roll is going to mask the track, looking for a blend, is this possible in an update?
Doesn't seem to be anybody here
We'll ask but I think it may be unlikely.
Provided the sample doesn't exceed the maximum allowed time length, the maximum number of beats per sample is 32. (This is only be available as of remixbox 2.x)
