[SOLVED] MEP and USB 3.0

I can't seem to get a Lacie USB 3.0 to work on an MEP. Any suggestions? I formatted twice use Swissknife. Still no luck.

@Jason > Does the drive require external power? If so, have you it connected?

Have you the drive correctly formatted to FAT32? Are there more than one partitions on the drive?

It doesn't require power. It has been formatted to FAT 32 twice. Just one partition.

The drive gets power, it lights up and the drive spins. Just no recognition on the MEP.

Are you sure all the files are in a recognisable format for the MEP (MP3 etc)?

I think the issue may be with USB3.0. Let me check.

Sure is. Same files play on a LACIE USB 2.0 drive without a problem. And we have 9 MEP's, same problem on all three.

Ah, I guess there's our problem then. I'll see will there be an update to address this.

@Jason > Some feedback from the engineers regarding your issue:

"No, MEP-7000 doesn't support USB3.0.
MEP-7000 uses Full Speed mode to communicate with USB device.
So, if the USB3.0 device is compatible with USB1.1(Full Speed), it will work with MEP-7000.

On the other hand, CDJ-2000 uses Hi Speed mode.
So, if the USB3.0 device is compatible with USB2.0(Hi Speed), it will work with CDJ-2000."
