Feature Request: Button to skip ahead 32 bars

It would be helpful if there was a button in Rekordbox to quickly skip ahead 8, 16, 32 bars without creating a loop.

I would use this feature to quickly make Cue markers at various points in the track.  Currently I must listen to the track and count out the bars to make my markers.  A button to quickly skip ahead or back by a set number of bars would be very helpful.

I like this idea also, used to do this on the CDJ-1000 with MMC cards also. Back then this was manual work too. Another idea might be to have counter marks next to the beatgrid. Maybe in an Ableton Live inspired way.

Glad people agree.  This feature would definitely save me time in preparing my Cue markers.

The way I use Cue markers right now is this:

I set 1 Cue marker at the first down beat of the track.

Then I go and set several Cue markers at the various mix-out points near the end.  For example, find the first down beat after the last breakdown and set a marker there.  Then I set another marker 64 bars after that one, and then another after 64 more bars, etc....    This way I can visually see where the potential mix points are on the CDJ waveform display.

Currently, I must do this process by listening to the track in Rekordbox and counting the bars in my head, and then make the Cue markers.  But if there was a skip-ahead button I could avoid the need to listen manually and count.  It would save time, especially when I'm trying to load up a lot of new tracks at once.

The idea of adding bar numbers to the screen in Rekordbox would be another way to get a similar result.  Any way there could be some sort of reference measurement for the beats/bars would be very helpful.

I take it this wasn't seen as a favourable inclusion then? I too would welcome this functionality, as setting points in tracks at bar lengths as described above is how I mix too.

YES !!!

I was going to make that suggestion too.

Fuse - that's exactly the same way I work too.

Coming from Traktor and migrating to Rekordbox is causing me headaches because of the lack of this feature. Takes a lot more time to have to listen to the track and manually add them in, when you could just skip forward or backward 32 or 64 bars, etc and quickly add them in

I'm not going to say it won't happen, so I'll say that you will all be happy with version 3. ;)
