Android and iOS have the highest market penetration. Ultimately, these things are business decisions - Pioneer couldn't go to the expense of developing for a platform that has yet to prove popularity.

Seguir[SOLVED] The New RekordBox App...
Why has Pioneer decided not to release a Windows Phone version of the app? Doing that seems like a great way to cut out a percentage of your target audience instantly. Windows Phone 8 is almost due so surely embracing an expanding platform is a good way to maximise the exposure of an app?
If you hadn't guessed by now, I use a Windows Phone.

Gavin, can we migrate between mac/pc versions of the Rekordbox with help of this app?
@Ilya > No, not to my knowledge.
I knew that was what the response would be, Gavin, but it doesn't make it any less annoying ;-)
Can this App export edited tracks without the need of a Mac/Pc? I guess most of us would love to carry our ipad/iphone only when travelling and be able to buy tracks, edit them on Rekordbox mobile and then export to our Flash Drives.
The app doesn't connect to my rekordbox, says ' connection accidentally interrupted'. tried with link on and off, tried different wifi networks and reset everything, still won't work
@Mark90 > I know you know but that's the best answer I can give you, sorry!
@Giona > What do you mean in relation to 'edit'? You can do whatever you can on Rekordbox desktop on Rekordbox mobile.
@Marsano > Did you create an adhoc network and try to connect that way?
Just tried an ad hoc network but produces the same result, it get to 66% connection the fails
Same as me! It stopped around 64 - 66 % and says: "connection accidentally interrupted"
I tried ad hoc and also with a router. All "firewalls" or any third party software is deactivated.
My System: MacPro Retina, OSX 10.8, RB 1.5.3
iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1
Any idea?
*not is, are
sorry
Ok,
problem solved! After updating to 1.6.2 it works fine! :-)
@Marsano > have you updated to Rekordbox 1.6.2
yes i feel like a silly, just updated to 1.6.2 and it works
Ok, I've one more question:
My Playlists in RB are the same as in iTunes, which are also on my iPhone. The question is, is it possible to export only the cue points without exporting the music? Because otherwise you have everything double on the Phone, one from the sync up iTunes and one from RB!
@Gavin i mean, after settimg cue points and beatgrid on ipad/iphone do i need a mac/pc to export on a flash drive or is it possible to do it through the usb camera connection kit ?
No idea?
is an iPad version on the way, right now it's just iPhone/android and the iphone version on the ipad looks like like you would expect stretching an iphone app on the ipad :)
How about AIFF in the iOS app at the moment you can't use AIFF but all my tracks are.
I don't want to re-encode to MP3 or other lossy codecs.
@BriChi > iPad version is coming at a later time.
@Giona > You would export the tracks from your device over wifi to rekordbox on your computer.
@ekwipt > That may be available in a later update.
awesome!
Any news on Windows Phone 8 app? Are you planning to do this? I just ditched my old iPhone and bought a WP8.
I am hoping they even update the app, never mind make it for other platforms at this time. it seems like they had this great idea but no one is working on it
If they would open up the APIs and share the libraries, I would code this app by myself. :)
@Henrik > No, nothing in the works yet. Again, WP8 has yet to prove itself as something worth the expense of developing for. If you consider a Venn diagram with the following data: Android users / iOS users / WP users / DJs - then there's a substantially greater overlap with Android and iOS than WP8. I strongly doubt they would make the APIs available.
