Delete Initial Cue Point (the orange/yellow one on the left hand side) In Rekordbox

So, I've looked and looked but I cannot find out how I go about deleting the initial CUE point. The one that shows on the far left hand side (set by using keyboard shortcut C). I'm not talking about hot cue's or memory as they are easily deleted by clicking the X to their right. There's nothing in the keyboard shortcut or manual that I can see. Deleting and re-importing the track works but then I've lost my hot-cue's.

Also, is it possible to change where the initial cue point is set without using a memory bank (or hot cue) . I've tracks where it's showing way before the music starts and would like to change the position but also make sure it's saved and appears in the correct position when I next load the track into rekordbox....

if I am understanding this right, the first cue point you are talking about is one that is automatically set  every time you load a track, you can turn that off on the players themselves but not in RB, Not sure why that would annoy you, it's not wasting any of you memory point slots or hot cue slots

If you have auto cue set on on the decks themselves, it will do this automatically for you, you just wont see it in RB.

Thanks for your reply, it's more that I want to delete cue points that are wrong. I'd rather have no initial cue-point than a wrong one and want to really make sure everything is setup in advance. Probably OCD as well ;)

any created memory or cue points can be deleted in RB, all the way to the right is the list of 10 possible cue points you created, you can delete those on in RB and on the player itself by going to the cue via the "Cue/loop" call buttons and then pressing delete. The only way to delete the ABC hot cues is either in RB or overwriting the existing hot cue on the cdj, unfortunately you cannot delete a hot cue from the players, just overwrite them

Sorry to dig up an old thread BriChi but I noticed you are trying to help me on another thread and would appreciate your look in on this too please :)

I have a question on the same issue but will provide a little more detail:

This is what happens:

1. Import and Analyze track, RB may get the start point wrong (about 25% of the time on DNB tracks especially when the master engineer has left a section of silence at the beginning). Its just silence beforehand but RB doesn't seem to be able to cope with it and considers it has started earlier than the beat;

2. There is of course a yellow/orange triangle underneath that first initial cue point, to me this cue point is more valuable than both a "hot cue" or a "memory cue" as it means when a track loads up and you want to introduce a new track to mix straight away you are cued and ready to go without messing around playing another stream of buttons

3. I re-cue the track and like magic the yellow/orange triangle moves to the corerct position on the first beat. I am now thinking to myself.....yes I have this all sorted now.....I play to track to any point and then press the cue button brings it right back to the ccorrect position on the first beat

4.I go out of this tune (still in Rekordbox) and play another tune briefly then go back into the original tune and the yellow/orange triangle is back into the bar before the beat and needs to be re-set all over again.

So it appears that the yellow/orange cue can be edited and fixed but then it gets lost as soon as you go out of the track.

If this is indeed the way life is, then it appears to be a bit of an oversight from a functionality perspective when you think about it .....the most obvious thing for a DJ is to want to simply start a tune from the beginning without messing around with either memory or hot cue buttons. This can be edited after all but for some reason Rekodbox wants to reset it to the wrong place again.......

Is there a solution or should I just capitulate on this one......?
