Loud digital noise in background when using Itch

Hi everyone,

I use Serato Itch with my DDJ-S1 on both my MacBook Pro and Dell Inspirion15 laptops. For some reason, when I run Itch on the Dell, i get that loud annoying digitized background noise. But on the MacBook it's whisper quiet. How can I fix it, seems like the main laptop soundcard is still running and not allowing Itch to be a solo soundcard by itself.  It's really annoying when it's hooked up to powered speakers. Any help would be great, thanks!!

When you have everything connected, have you tried unplugging the power cable from your Dell and see if it still produces the sound?

Sometimes it's a grounding issue with computers and when you remove the power cable and use the built in battery you find that was the issue. Let me know how it turns out. If it doesn't work, Pulse would probably be your best help as he knows a lot more about it than myself.

I hope that helps. :)

@fusionsounddj > Some PCs have unsheilded USB chipsets and as such are perfect antennas for picking up system noise... you can try a PCMCIA or other buscard USB adaptor to see if that helps, but it's not without the cost of buying a card (or borrowing one) to test it.
