Traktor Problems with BPM - DDJ T1 - any solutions

for some reason when i load a track onto either deck a, or b, the brackets appear scatterd and un-synced and the bpm doesnt show or load, which is a real probaly when i want too enable the deck A/B to be synced smoothly with the crossfader, is this a common fault?
