Are you running the newest version of FW for the ERGO? If not start there, also are you able to run VDJ without issue? What is the config on your laptop (OS and such).

Issue with DDJ Ergo and serato DJ intro
when connected to my laptop i'm getting a cracking noise through speaker and headphones the tempo is all over the place and you get the red cpu warning light on all the time. When connected to studio pc the problem is gone. I've tryed reinstalling the drivers firmware and dj intro several times. the laptop is for djing only so doesn't get connected to web and also runs serato scratch live with no issues what so ever..
Any help would be appreciated.

Have installed the latest firmware still have the issue. VDJ runs without a problem. Running windows 7 off the top of my head not sure if it's an i3 or i5 processor running 8gb ram. I've installed intro on my home pc and connected the ergo problem didn't occur. run virus scans comes up clean.

@Jay Knapp > If your CPU light is constantly lit, it could be you have some other process causing the problem and thus causing hiccups with the audio processing. Open your task manager and see what else is in use and what applications might be running the CPU to the max.
