I would try Updating the firmware again , make sure you have the latest java installed , also don't have anything else running in the back round while up dating your firmware .

Crossfader issue with Firmware 1.05?
When I upgraded my newly purchased DDJ-SX with firmware 1.05, the crossfader function fails. With two decks playing, side A and side B, both can be heard at side A, and when switching to Side B...silence. This worked fine with firmware 1.02.
