Having the same problem. I'm on my second unit and the crossfader started bleeding two weeks after after I got it. I have searched for answers online but no luck. I took it the a service center as of now. This should not be happening as must as this controller cost. I thought Pioneer was better than that. I called them and they said that this is not a common problem but I see others online with the same problem and pioneer should know it too. I hope there is a permanent fix for this because since it has a cut and scratch feature on the unit, it's supposed to work!

i know i love pioneer products i had 2 cdj 850s and they were great and i thought this was it for me but fader threw me for a loop good thing i have a 4yr warranty on it. they should take there time with there products and make sure they are fully working. i have sx-w and i thought problems would be fixed by now but i guess not. cant wait till inno fader mini comes out going to pop it in to replace this crap of a fader.

Same here, it starts after 2 months and the accuracy of the pioneer fader slops down a bit.

I send my unit in service next week, but its not an option to solve this problem by switching the same fader again and again.

I hope the the InnoFader Mini P is soon available here in Germany.

The GOOD thing is - the Guys from AudioInnovate build that sooo flexible in Seting it up for the SX - the Tabel Contents the Messurments Build in high and wiring setup is looking that much easy that I could install them. But I

that sucks but what i have figured out is that it is more of a controller issue rather than it being an actual crossfader issue because when i use sdj with my sl2 box, 1200 and ddj sx fader is fine and also with just turntable by itself and the fader is on full and there is no bleeding what so ever. i hate that this has happened  because this is an expensive piece of equipment that i expected to go the distance with.

Hi, Steven.

As we can see in the Hardwareflowchart Printet on the backside of the Unit, Pioneer tells us "How the Fader" should have to work.

if i Explain it the Right way, then the SX X-Fader works in Front of the MIDI signals so your Software ore "Non MAC" Laptops should not be the Reason for that Bleeding Thing of the X-Fader.

I Hope that Thomann.de can Handle my Order with the InnoFader mini P

Sencerly, Roy

I think that it is the Pioneer fader that had Bad CUT IN Settings they are not realy fine for advanced practisings on the SX.

Meanwhile on the SZ - Pioneer Spends a PRO Fader with the unit so you can set your OWN CUT IN Settings. Why does Pioneer bring us that Fader as a replacement. I Send my Unit Back to Stock for Checking out that NOTHING is REALY Wrong. but if you like to Scratch on the SX you will have to "Learn" how much the fader Real opens.

In some of my Trainingsessions, some times it feels the fader Starts Earlyer than the move bevor, as you know what i mean with that.

roBRoy have you done any research or is that just a conclusion that you got from the  manual and specs because i actually hooked up a turntable and tested it out with it plugged into the computer and without it being plugged into the computer i will post a video soon.

@Steven Jordan:
i spend over 14 years in Event Engineering and learnd alot about mixers, audio Controls, show light engineering, programming and stuff like that .... on the other side i startet to DJ wen i was 14 (1994 with 2 very very old RFT Hifi Turntables and a 4 Channel 19" Club Mix .... i remember this Times where "alot" a bit Easyer was than today :) )

but the Impressions about the Pionner DDJ SZ are unfortunately from the conclusions of the technical details about the SZ Controler.

I use an Pioneer DDJ - SX with Innofader PNP-P x-Fader and running a Dell Vostro 3750 with SSD and some 2,5" hdds on it. And YES the X-Fader that came with the unit feels realy "sloppy" after 1 1/2 year Bedroom Mixing, so i decide to Change it.

In my Old Company the Battlemixers from Vestax PMC005/007 are all Setup with Innofaders as X-Faders so i research about to get an "innofader" fit in my Pioneer.

The Reason is simple, after installing the Innofader PNP-P your able to set the Cut in setting in 0,05mm steps. Works great for me.

You should Chang your XFader on the unit.
Buy a Replacement fader from Pioneer for the Unit

ore check out the InnoFader PNP-P

i´m realy realy happy with that ;)
