[Solved] DDJ SX2 Driver issue with windows 8 64-bit

So I tried to install the drivers and serato as described in the manual (& internet), however Windows 8 doesn't recognize the driver for the DDJ SX2.

It does show a connected DDJ SX2 in the hardware manager, but there it shows that it has no driver installed for the controller. Also after using the .exe for the driver, the actual .dll doesn't show up in the system32 folder. I tried to manually add the .dll (installed it on a different laptop with windows 7 64-bit) and add it to the registry but it didn't work. I tried everything else. Please help!

Thanks

Did you connect the hardware before installing the drivers or did you install the drivers AFTER having connected the USB to the SX2?

I first installed the driver (and serato) then connected the hardware. Windows did recognize the hardware and tried to find a driver but then failed. The strange thing is, is that the driver dll doesn't show up in the system32 folder (after running the .exe). But when I tried on my old laptop (Windows 7 64-bit) it does show up and connects.

It also seems like the hardware keeps reconnecting, but this could be a driver issue.

No I understand with Windows 7 home premium 64x everything works fine on all 3 programs. On Windows 7 professional 64 bit everything works perfectly on all 3 programs it also works perfectly on MacBook that was my son's friends. Now the one pc desktop computer is optiplex 745 has core 2 duo prosessor 3.4 ghz 4gb ram but was getting bad cpu spikes so I also have a Dell optiplex 980 with i7 processor quad core 8gb of ram and on that one it seems like the asio won't start up for any of the programs I don't understand why the two optiplex from Dell have same windows disk in both. I was running an Allen and Heath on this when the ddjsx2 showed up. Makes no sense? Help

I bought a new to me refurbished dell optiplex 980 tower my other is a Dell optiplex 980 sff the sff has a i7 processor gen 1 870 2.93ghz lga 1156 the new tower I bought is a i5 processor and has built in gpu 3.3 ghz and serato dj was working I moved the machine I plugged everything back in and no serato dj? I have 10 usb ports and it only works on the one port. But pioneer rekordbox dj 4,0 1 works on all ports as well as traktor pro 2 2.10.0. I have had so much aggrevation I want to return this. I love the rekordbox dj 4,0 1 software it runs circles around serato and I want pioneer rekordbox dj 4,0 1 instead of serato dj 1.78. This product has been out a year and you guys perfected it 1st shot with your dj software while serato seems to not care. Is there anyway to surrender my serato dj license in exchange for rekordbox dj?
