DDJ-WeGO Doesn't work, driver not working.

Hey, I recently aquired a DDJ-WeGO.

I am running Windows 7 Premium 64bit.

I installed the driver, and plugged in the hardware, but my computer says that there are no drivers installed. I went into /system32/ and looked for C:\Windows\system32\Pioneer_DDJ_WeGO_ASIO.dll, but it wasn't there.

I've gotten the WeGO to work with other computers, too.

i really need to get this working, what should I do in this case?

I contacted Tech Support, they couldn't help.

If you open the device manager with the WeGO connected, does it appear on that list?

Have you got the latest firmware running on the WeGO?

It appears under Device manager, under "other devices" with the yellow triangle exclamation point on the icon.  says there are no drivers installed.

I can't update firmware, it says the device is not plugged in (when it is)

Have you tried uninstalling it from that list, then running the driver installation without disconnecting / reconnecting? One thing to be certain of is that you don't allow Windows to automatically search for drivers:

Click the SKIP link and then click YES on the second window.

(I know that says AERO, but the same thing applies to the WeGO.)

Still cannot get it to work... I've tried everything. What could possibly make it not work?

Have you tried uninstalling the device form the system, then manually removing the drivers and starting from scratch?

What happens when you connect it to a different USB port? Does it attempt to install the drivers anew?

have tried different ports and usb cords, i still connot get it to work. After installing the driver, I cannot find it in /system32/. Would it be possible to send me the .dll file that it installs?

Bumping, it says on my Quick Start Guide that "When using a 64-bit version of Windows, the driver software can only be used for 32-bit applications." What does it mean by applications?

When the ASIO driver is installed Windows 64bit, dll file will not be stored in the system32 folder.

If the driver version is shown in [DDJ-WeGO Version Display Utility] from Windows [Start] menu>[All Programs]>[Pioneer]>[DDJ-WeGO], the ASIO driver is properly installed.

It could be that your computer isn't recognizing the WeGO because of its internal mode. To switch it, please try the following:

  1. Turn on the power of WeGO while pressing both HOTCUE1 + HOTCUE2 on B/D deck to enter the setting mode. Hold the buttons until the opening illumination is completed
  2. Press the SYNC button on the right deck to enter Normal mode.
  3. Turn the power off.

If you were not connected to the computer, try now and see if the drivers will install / work properly (test by going to the version display above).

I tried that, it still is not working... My device manager still says that it is 'unspecified'. I can't get it to work. What is the WeGO supposed to do when you do the hot cue thing? It looked like it didn't do anything.

@Xephyr > Given that it's still not working with your computer, yet you noted in your original post it does work with other computers, the engineers assume there is an issue with your computer itself. Even with a reinstallation of Windows, the problem may persist as it could be a hardware conflict causing the problem. Sorry!
