Install the drivers, select the ERGO as the output audio device from the Windows control panel audio applet, party.
Hi Pioneers.
I'm in the process bulding a solar powered sound system, for use at festivals and street-parties.
To keep the weight and the power consumption at a minimum, I have decided to use the DDJ Ergo-V which seems perfect for the project.
I have NO experience in DJ'ing my self, but I know a lot of "hooby-DJ's" who is going to show their skills on the system -Just for the fun of it!
Anyway... my concern is, how to get the Ergo-V to just put out the sound played in Windows? I will be using WMP, Winamp, Spotify, Youtube, etc, so I really would like to set up a "direct sound stream" somehow, to make use of the integrated sound card. -Otherwise I will have to ad an external DAC, and switch between these, but I'm not a fan of this method.
Any suggestions on this matter?
Regards from Denmark

Thank you very much for the fast reply.
Hmmm...I'm pretty sure that I have already tried this, but I will give it another go tonigt. Will keep you updated..
Just be aware that some programs (eg. Google Chrome) won't necessarily allow output through certain devices.
OK. This really gives me a headache...
I have tried everything.
Firmware has been updated. Drivers has been re-installed. Different players been tried...But...NO audio out:-(
In VLC Player I have manually selected the "Pioneer DDJ-ERGO", and in in the Windows KM the ergo has been set as the source as well.
No sound is coming out. The Ergo keeps flashing the "A+B deck" LEDs, but nothing else happens.
Do I somehow need to "activate" the unit, to play sound-through?
Really hope that you can help me out, as I'm pretty stocked in the process now...
What do you mean by:
The Ergo keeps flashing the "A+B deck" LEDs, but nothing else happens.
Pulse: I mean, that when looking at the mixer/controller, nothing seems "activated", besides that the LEDs flashes for the A/B deck.
Have you tried the Ergo-V controller yourself?
Yes, I've used the ERGO but I'm not sure what you mean by the A and B LED flashes? Can you record a video?
