back again.
i'm attaching a small recording in wav format.
Both 2 songs are wav files from their original cds . (no vynil recording).
you will hear "tsiks" and small cut offs but on the PA they become big, as you understand.
Hello all,
I recently (On May2014) bought a ddj sb controller and i'm facing an unusual problem
Everything seems to work ok with serato intro but the sound output produces a parasite like when a record is slighty scratched.
*produced both from the rca and the headphones
** you can hear it from the cue in the headphones at a specific point of the track... when the track is out you will hear it at other point.
It is not periodical but it does it in all tracks.
Driver and firmware are the latest. checked
Tried to configure it in traktor, vdj and ableton live but no luck.... specifically traktor crashes.
I suspect that my controller needs to be replaced. probably is faulty from the beggining.
The sound -without the controller on- from the headphones jack is acceptable (tested it on a PA system many times) and free this sound... let me call it "tsik".
I dedicated many hours to solve this but no luck. Any ideas????
DELL STUDIO
Win VISTA home premium SP2 (32-bit)
Intel P7450 dual core 2.13
Ram 4GB
(This computer is still a beast.. no joking.... it handles every software with ease even ableton... does not seem to be a pc problem... mayby it should go for a technical check)
I will try to record the output with an external device to show you exactly what i mean........

What are your settings for the latency / buffer?
standard settings 256 samples - bit depth 16bit - kernel buffers 3
Hi Pulse, thanks for the feedback. Any ideas???
The recommendation is you check with Dell to see if there are any firmware (BIOS) updates available for your computer. We've seen some computer models have issues like this resolved with an update.
One way of confirming that it is or isn't the controller would be to test it with another computer (specifically one using an operating system newer than Vista). Are you able to test that?
what i did is to update the idt audio drivers. at first i have better sound. time will tell. since i had good sound from serato dj intro i haven't checked it with other software. i'll do
every time i conect my pioneer ddj sb i will get a mosquito type sound can anyone help me?
