It was mentioned before?  Either I missed it or I read too many threads and forgot it, but I don't recall that being discussed.

yep the auto cue was definately enabled that was the first thing i checked

What was the source you were playing from at the time?

I was sure this was an auto-cue problem until I read BriChi's comment too - if this appeared earlier, I missed it too.

the source was a normal audio cd (not mp3) and we only noticed the glitch once.... but a glitch is a glitch and its always better if its mentioned :)

But if it's not repeatable and it seldom occurs, it's going to be hard to track down and repair.  We need as much info as possible.

That would be why I didn't remember it - I posted a short line and that was it!  Same question would apply to you then Drew; was the faderstart enabled?

nope we dont nor have we ever used the fader start feature don't even have the cable plugged in for it

It has also has happened to me before twice. Auto-Cue was enabled and track when finished continued playing the next track.

mine is never done with gapless, all burnt using nero express audio cd

To me it has happened twice in past. I think with the same track in same playlist. Track was mp3 from beatport. I use USB on one player and link on the other. All tracks in USB exported via RB. Auto-Cue was enabled as all tracks in players stopped when finished except this one. Unfortunately I have changed my playlist several times since then and now I can't identify the track. 

Also I don't know if it's important but in both times this happened in linked player, not the one with the USB. Maybe cause the track happened to be played both times by the linked cdj.

It happened to me a few months ago. Firmware ver 4.10 in players, RB ver 1.5.3

Player one (USB Stick) is cue to track B.

Player two (Link) is playing track A. Track A needs 2 mins to finish.

I start to play Track B, beatmatch with track A and start to mix.

When track A is finished in player two, instead of the player to CUE in Track C, it start to play Track C.

Auto-Cue is enabled.

So at a point when I expected the player two to Cue in the next track while  I was playing another track in player one suddenly player two started to play next track. Volume in player two is 2/4 so I could hear the next track in my speakers.

Here it is again, same problem for third time for me. I recorded videos this time.

Video quality is not so good cause I use my mobile phone. You can also hear my son scream.

Auto-Cue is all the time enabled.

I understood that when you pitch a bit more up or down or maybe when you have MT on you have a bug!!

Because when I had the track play normal everything was OK, as you can see in first video.

I use a USB drive, in first player and LINK in the other one. In these videos you can see the LINK player.

I was lazy to test direct with USB drive. Maybe I will do it tomorrow or the day after.

Y'know, I wonder if this is a bug related to a damaged export database -- I had a similar problem one time after updating rekordbox (back in a version where the database changed) and I exported additional tracks to the USB device, it corrupted one of the entries for a song so it would end mid-track and start playing something completely different.

Have you tried exporting the same songs to a NEW USB device (something freshly formatted)?

Is it only ever happening with that one track?

@Pulse, firstly thank you for replying to my post. 

I wanna say that I am confident that this is not a damaged export database. I also had before the same problem like the one you describe above. I added a few tracks in a USB stick that already had tracks in it and I experienced same thing like you. The track would end somewhere in the middle and jump to another track. But back then when I formatted the USB stick and exported the files again everything worked fine.

However, today I took all three releases by  Enola - Slow Motion EP (Correspondant) and add them in RB in a new playlist. I formatted the USB stick (twice) and export  the tracks to it.

Same thing happens again with same track (Enola - Slow Motion Original mix). Auto-Cue is anabled. MT is on. Pitch is more than 5% up and when track finishes CDJ instead of cue in next track it continues to play. Here is a new video showing same problem --->  http://youtu.be/BA1xYclCkww

Funny thing is that with same track when I have MT off it works fine. Auto-Cue is enabled. MT is off. Pitch is also more than 5% up but this time when track finishes CDJ cues to next one normally. Here is a video showing this --->  http://youtu.be/SMqSLgawtJk

I cant explain why this is happening. It has also happened to me before with two different tracks but I didn't pay so much attention back then.

Clearly the problem is when MT is on and when I pitch it up or down because when I play it at 0% even with MT on it cues normally to the next track.

I have to mention that this is happening only with this specific track. It doesn't happen with second track of same release (Enola - Slow Motion Nhar Remix).

All tracks I play I buy from beatport. These specific ones that you see in video are mp3s. 

I use firmware v4.10

If it helps you can give me your email and I will send you the problematic track.

Got it, will test shortly.

I ran a copy of the track through several testers and found nothing obvious.

I then loaded the original track into rekordbox, analysed and exported to a playlist on a USB device.  When I played the track on the CDJ2000 using the exact same conditions (Firmware = 4.10, Jog mode = CD, pitch range = 10%, pitch @ +5.9%, MT = on, AutoCue = on), the track cued just fine.

@Pulse, thank you for testing the track. 

I would suggest you test it a few times cause to my tests (and today I let it play more than ten times) only once it cued normally.

Anyways I played it in both my cdjs and same thing happens. It's not that it is happening in only one cdj. Even if I use it directly in USB or Link mode.

Other than that the only think I can think , is that either your cdjs are better than mine or both cdj of mine have the same problem and need to be fixed.

Also It might be that I installed RB 1.5.4 a few weeks ago, uninstall it and install again 1.5.3

Other than that I can not explain it and video is the proof.

What is your opinion ??
