Im all for auto hot cue loading. but if not......
I was playing live, my track had hot cue A,B and C Visible on the Wavform, My problem was, I couldnt remember if i had Loaded the Hot cues on the Player buttons, So i Didn't dare touch them ( incase the buttons were illuminated from previous track). So My suggestion is....
When the user holds hot Cue button, to load the hot cues. The letters A,B.C on waveform Should change colour, So The user Knows The cues are loaded to that track.

you can tell if the A,B or C is loaded for that particular track you are playing because it will show an a,b or c under the waveform also, if you only see it on the top of the wave, it is not loaded for that track
you can see in the (blurry) pic I attached that A is loaded for this track but B is not being there is an A and B above the wave but only A underneath
for the record, I really begged for the auto load of hot starts, its my biggest let down on the deck, I want to be ready to go instantly when I load a track, not have to remember to load hot starts and wait another 5 seconds for each to load, I mix very quickly sometimes
Thanks mate, never noticed that. Learn something everyday. I also mix very quickly, with bpm counters so accurate you have to take advantage dont you?....
I think you should be able to turn auto H/c Loading on, in the player menu, similar to quantize on/off.
i also think ABC colour illumination would be good, but maybe not top of "to do" list.

I agree 100%, it has been suggested and according to Pio reps, Has been passed along to the engineers, hopefully it makes it into the players one day. I have a feeling though the updates to the current 2000 may be coming to an end soon "if" something new comes out to discontinue that model. We shall see, Patience is a virtue as they say :)
if the new arrival the other day is anything to go by, i think your right.
If Pioneer keeps supporting the CDJ-2000 for now and release like a killer 5.0 Firmware I would be really really thankful.
