My are still in a sealed box and the retailer didn't accept it back for a exchange plus a payment of the balance :( I bought the 2000's 2 weeks before the announce.

cdj 2000 vs cdj 2000 nexus hardware difference
if you would be so kind to educate us on the difference between the hardware then perhaps it would put my mind at ease.
i searched the forums and i even compared the hardware specs in the manual for the cdj2000 and the cdj2000 nexus. yet there doesn't seem to be much of a difference except for a few buttons on the face and a cosmetic port adjustments in the back.
.. with out bashing or a beatdown. explain it to me as i am uneducated in this matter.
what part of the hardware in the cdj2000 is not compatible with implementing the waveform from the new cdj2000 nexus?
as i look at the cdj's side by side i see a couple of buttons that clearly cannot be added the cdj2000. i get that. but the software.. ??
i ask of this because my heart has not been at ease ever since news of the cdj2kn cam out.. i feel cheated. i just bought this about 4 months ago, and it's already outdated.. and the retail price is exactly the same as the old ones.

then you are very fortunate. if i could return mine, i would do it in a heartbeat. i feel so cheated. if pioneer would at least offer a free upgrade for those that purchased the cdj2000 in march 2012 or later, then that would be cool. if they would just do something to compensate those of us that have recently purchased the cdj2k mk1. but nothing so far. and they won't even tell us what's the hardware difference between the two products. what? slip, quantize, rekordbox button. i couldn't care less about those. but the wave form with zoom, traffic light for beat matching. that's not hardware, that's all pure software. so they say well, the hardware can't handle the software.. to which i ask with gentle words.. which part of the hardware can't handle the software? .. and to this day not one pioneer staff has put my heart at ease by fully explaining issue.

I couldn't return... but anyway, didn't bother me too much because at least here, in China, the difference between the price of a pair, I could buy the DJM 900.

@Shahar > Well the hardware did have to be upgraded to support the newer functions. There's also new, higher quality Wolfson DACs installed too.
Beyond that, I don't think you're going to be told what else is in there. Your unit isn't outdated - its still a top quality unit, its just not the newest available. There's no reason to feel cheated - you bought the units because you thought that they, in their present form, fitted your needs.

@Shahar > Again, why do you feel cheated on something you chose to buy because it fitted your needs? If I bought a new MacBook Pro today, and then a new model was announced tomorrow, should I expect Apple to give me the new model MBP for free? That doesn't make sense. The software is dependent on the hardware within the unit so new features can't be added to older units.
Really, this is a silly argument - you can't expect a company to upgrade your units for free. Any features that can be incorporated into the CDJ2000 I'm sure will be.
