I think its the usb stick (corsair suvivor 64GB stealth)...today it works fine with a 320GB usb HDD. is it possible that there are some issues with that usb-stick and the cdj2000 NXS?
Hi,
tonight i tested my new cdj2000 NEXUS in a club, but they have some problems.
When i play an hour, some tracks stopped playing...emergency loop comes on display and the track gets in loop or it stops. Not every track, but some.
Restarting the cdj and play the same track and it works. Why?!?! My normal CDJ2000 works fine since 2009.
I used a 64 USB stick (HFS+) and 32 SD card (fat32). On both i have this problem.
Please help;)

Hem...one track stopped...media error? WTF?!?! No problems with this on normal cdj2000:-/
Are there more of these problems known for the cdj2000 nexus? Or will be there a new update?
i reformated my stick and sync my rekordbox contetn to the new formated usb. today i play 5 hours without a skip (2 seconds stop), emergency loop or medium error. i hope that this was the problem.
@Timo > What did you reformat the stick to? Was it FAT32 also? Did you export the content to the stick from rekordbox? Does the issue occur on one track in particular? Can you identify that track? What error code were you given?
I used 64GB Corsair Survivor Stealth with HFS+ & try FAT or 32 GBSD oder 320GB WD passport USB-HDD. The problem is random, not same tracks. Tracks are from beatport, itunes and some otherstores and selfmade bootlegs. All my tracks are analyzed with RB. Never had this problems on old cdj2000. One Time i had an media-error. Last Friday 5 tracks stopped for 2 seconds after pressing a hot cue or it stops completly, somtimes it goes in an emergency loop. Yesterday i reformated my 64GB-Stick 2 times and sync it to RB. Than i plays 5 hours with no stop, skip or something.
I played tonight in a club and after 2,5h i had a media error with one track...but that track works fine on an old cdj2000. The displays shows after the error message only loading, loading, loading...the linked player plays fine but i need to restart the "master" player with the 64GB corsair survivor stealth USB-Stick (hfs+ formated) :-/ because i cant do anything with the player...he trys to load but nothing happens. what can i do? after a restart the track with the error works fine...its terrible...i want to play my shows with no risk!!! all tracks works fine on an old cdj2000 and all tracks are synced with rekordbox. what can the problem be?
today i have turn the auto cue of and let the hole night and the hole day play my fav. playlist and there is no error. can the problem be with the hotcue/loop when i load it automaticly or menualy? when i do this, one or 2 tracks (random tracks) in my set skipped or i get a media error directly after i press the hotcues.
its your BPM steady... in other words if you have it on 128.0 it stays like that or jumps up and down (example) 128.1, 128.2, 127.9?
These NEXUS are giving me a too much stress
No the bpm is not jumping around...why should it be a bpm problem? i play at 130 without sync.
Same problem... Using Rekordbox, SD card and USB stick and USB HDD and some tracks are stopping without any reason. Emergency loop starts and thats all.
@Andreas > Was the CDJ that stopped playing directly from a source or via the LINK?
The CDJ stopped only if i play over LINK. And he stops only if I had connected rekordbox... When i connect only 2xcdj + djm-900 then the cdj is playing normaly
Any updates on this? I had a similar issue last night with 4 CDJ2000NXS and a 900NXS all linked using an SD card at one point and a USB stick at another point. Emergency loop popped up about 3 times. This was the artists first time to perform in front of a sold out show in the US and he was pissed!
Anyways, there wasn't time to look for any error codes or troubleshoot the issue, so we ended up just linking 2 CDJ2000NXS to each other and cutting out the other two. After that everything was fine.
Based on my research, all I have been able to find is that the DJ should import their music files into Rekordbox and analyze them. After that has been completed, you may export to your external media i.e. USB drive, SD card, etc. There has to be more solid information than this.
We can't afford to have these kinds of issues. It would be really great if the CDJ's had internal log files that could be retrieved.
Please help....
The same problems: random tracks random time it starts to play emergency loop on one or both tracks and after a few seconds the reloop exit button starts to blink an i can exit this loop. With some random tracks it loads the track with a command NOW LOADING quite a lot...Everything linked with recordbox 2.21 for Windows 8.1, TP Link LAN switch and djm900 nexus. Cdj2000nexus firmware 1.21 both.
Hallo,
exist some reason for this? I have 2 CDJ2000nxs, all files (on SSD 512 GB disk) imported through RecodBox a 2 times a recieved same message 'emergency loop', both cases are on master player, where disk connected as USB device... :-(
THX!
Okay, there are too many people adding their "me too" to this thread and it seems many of you have different configurations and almost none of you have indicated what the firmware is or how the units are connected (except @Soulless Music).
Please start your own thread if you are having a problem -- in this thread I will respond to only @Timo or @Andreas. Sorry for the inconvenience, it just helps us with sorting out the issues and not having cross-talk.
@Andreas > What is the firmware version of the players and what version of rekordbox was running? How are the players, mixer and computer networked together?
Hi pulse,
Firmware CDJ-2000nxs : 1.21
Firmware DJM-900nxs: 1.300
Switch: TP-LINK TL-SG1008D
Rekordbox: 2.2.3
The problem that the link broke down by using SDHC 32GB card i solved by disconnecting internet from the switch... but there is still a problem when i used rekordbox, Sometimes the player is switching into emergency loop by using rekordbox. the problem apears on different tracks. never on the same track and never after a fix time... after set Link off and on in rekordbox the problem is solved for some time... in this time no other PC is connected and no internet is connected, not on the switch or wifi... Same problem apears if are connected 2 PC. 1. PC have more problems than 2. PC.... also if i change order of the PC. always the first makes problems...
I hope I haven´t forgot anything.
P.S.: CABLE is used CAT5 standard patch cabel 1m :)
Hi pulse!
I have the same problem....
Firmware CDJ-2000nxs : 1.22
Rekordbox: 3.0.1
Flash usb 3.0
using mac
waiting for your help!!!
Has anyone had this problem?

Emergency Loop error cdj 2000 nexus platinum with vibration
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqFO0vg3ems&feature=youtu.be
not with new rekordbox 3.2. But have the firmware 1.21 on CDJ2knxs
My rekordbox is the new 3.2!
so maybe the firmware on CDJ or firewall issues?
@Felipe > Does that same error occur with that flash drive in the other player? Does it happen with a different flash drive? It seems to me that you might have either a loose USB connection or the flash drive has a weak solder point and it's causing those problems.
with the other CDJ this does not happen. Using the same pen drive.
@Felipe > Thanks, that pretty much narrows it down to a loose connection in the CDJ. Unfortunately I'll have to direct you to technical support to arrange to have your CDJ serviced. Please visit this page to find the Pioneer office nearest you for further assistance.
Thanks my friend! :D
@Pulse The technician informed me that the problem is my USB. I use a Corsair Survivor 32GB. He said that this pen drive high current consumption to be USB 3.0, disrupting the proper instrument performance. I believe it does not make much sense that, since most of the DJs in the world use this pen drive. What I'm most worried about is that the other CDJ presents no problem, coming to doubt the problem is the flash drive. What do you think?
@Felipe > I would be shocked to hear that a USB flash drive draws more current than a conventional hard drive or even a solid-state drive. I'm going to see if our engineers can shed more light on this. Can you please email me with information on where it was sent for service and what details they gave you? My address is djpulse [(a)(t)] mixaddicts dot cxm (replace the x with an o).
@Pulse I sent e-mail for you now, confirm please.
