SeguirFirmware Version Ver.1.04, please say something PIONEER!!!!!!
Seems like this place is the only place to post the problems we all have. We have today received an update, which is not at all helped the problem many of us have posted on the forums in recent weeks. You wrote on Friday that you had noted down all the problems we had posted here, And solved some of them, and that this should be updated today.
I try to be patient, But getting incredibly disappointed about Pioneer, we've all spent so much time testing a product. That should have been done before we got it, and should work fine! So what happens now? I wait a few more days, and hope you give us some info, and a new update. But if this will not be fixed soon, you do have to just take your players and give us our money back.
I think it's amazing that no one from Pioneer has answered us on the forum today, when you see we all have such problems. How should we interpret this? Do you simply not know what to do with all the problems?
We saw all Kissy Sell Out on youtube, when Nexus locked up&freezed, he was very angry, so are we!
PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your having issues, post the problem you are having and we can (as a community and Pioneer) try and help you figure it out. Just read forum rules on how to post problems so we can get you back on your system at full speed.
there's nothing the "community" can help with, the decks need a firmware update that fixes the lockups, period. There is nothing anyone is going to tell me to try, I tried EVERYTHING and the decks freeze 2-3 times every job,
@PainlessWolf I have posted several places here, and have the same problems as all. Hangups, freezing, waiting erros +++
@BriChi agree, we need yet another firmware, ASAP!! to fix all the buggs.
The decks have many problems as me and many others have already posted - Some people will just not accept this.
from what I read, Painless Wolf had an issue, he wiped the laptop and reinstalled everything and now he is fine which is great BUT that is 1 of many issues these decks have, So Painless, with all do respect, just because you fixed your issue doesnt mean everyone needs to follow those same steps, there are multiple bugs, for me, the laptop has nothing to do with it at this point, I can drag a new, error free mp3 to a flash drive, never even touches RB and the deck will freeze at times during playback
I understand what you guys are saying.
Let me ask you, I know you said you've done everything but does the same issue occurs on a different machine? Can you replicate the same error you have on your machine on someone else's machine?
Sorry to ask if it has already been done.
yes, both decks, same results. I thought of everything I can change, only thing that is kinda a workaround is use AIFF files and leave MT off, I am not doing either, Fix the deck!
Ditto BriChi !
not everyone is affected though, as Brichi said, AIFFs (and i'm guessing Wavs also) do not have these problems. i guess the CDJ engineer who tests the MP3s is now looking for a new job though.
I doubt it being that they probably didnt fire the guy who tweaks the master tempo, lol
That sucks. Mine works with mp3 and w/e rekordbox uses. Bummer....does it do the same thing with other cdjs (900 or 2k)? if u have or can test it.
nope, only on the Nexus decks, I used the 2000's with these same files for 3 years, not 1 issue like this, I had to borrow my buddy's 2000mk1's to get through my gigs, I have no issues until I go back to the Nexus decks, then its lockups like crazy. gotta love the track lockups and the fact that it jumps to a random track in my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESDvfZBYrnI
this happens when i use mp3's, MT on and set 3 hot starts and just play around with them a lot creating beats and remixes
whoa, thats really some f'd up bugs. shoot D:
yup, I have more too, thats just 1, its pathetic
It's quiet from Pioneers side.. I talked to the shop today where I bought them from and I am considering to return my nexus players if Pioneer does not admit the issues and tells us they are working on some fix.. never thought the players could be this bad!
They need to speak soon, of course the answer will just be "the engineers are investigating" and next month we will get another buggy update, I'm done, once my local stores reopen after this storm, mine are being returned.
It baffles me how they didn't see this before the actual release
Yup, especially since I sent them files and videos to reproduce it and within 5 minutes of loading the new FW I got it to lock up, so y bother trying to help, they obviously think they are perfect am dont listen to me. F em
I guess your going for a refund then Bri ?
Hey, guys from Pioneer! Where r u? Tell us somethin'! My pair of NXS is on the way. I feel angry 'bout this situation with FW! Help us! ASAP!!!
I would like to know what they have to say.. if they do not fix this very soon i will return them straight to the store I bought them..
This is the first time i come to this forums and the problems are very clearly here! it's not just a few people but a lot people suffering from the bad development and testing..
We should act together to make our statement clear! everyone who is experiencing bugs, don't just post them here but also e-mail the guys at ppdj@pioneerprodj.com
I've been watching a few of these threads, and I have to say that BriChi seems to be doing some excellent work in trying to track down the source of these problems. Let me just start by saying that I (and apparently the rest of the community) appreciate the effort that BriChi has put in to tracking down the source of these problems, even if Pioneer's development division doesn't.
If you don't mind, I'd just like to get a bit of clarification on a few points, both for the benefit of those of us who own the CDJ 2000 Nexus and for the benefit of Pioneers developers who have the job of trying to fix these things.
- People are saying that AIFF files are unaffected. Can anyone confirm that this is the case? If that true even if master tempo is turned on? Is it true if using hot cues?
- Do people have problems with AAC files?
- Is it just MP3 files that are affected?
- With the MP3 files, are they constant or variable bit rate? Which encoder was used to create the files?
The more information we have, the better, as it may allow those of us with the player to work around the problems and/or help Pioneer narrow down the problems a bit further. I know we shouldn't have to put up with this on ANY players, much less ones that cost as much as these ones do, but if we can boil it down to some really specific details that would probably help.
I believe it is not just mp3 files. but just for the record I use 320 kbps mp3 files (CBR, scanned trough mp3 validators and bought from beatport or promo sources.) I also have some aiff and wav files.
Pioneer acknowledges that not all known issues were able to be addressed with this firmware update and subsequent updates will be released to correct and improve the functions of the player(s). Your patience is appreciated during this time. To expedite the process, providing detailed information on the specific problems you are having will assist the engineers in solving any outstanding issues they have not yet discovered or managed to replicate.
Keep in mind that posting a problem here doesn't necessarily mean that the engineers can fix it in a matter of days - it takes some time for the engineers to discover the source of the issue, determine the fix, create a fix, test it, ensure nothing eles becomes broken, test it again, then issue it for the public.
Please DO NOT email the ppdj address (found at the right), it is for product suggestions, not product problems or complaints; you will be directed back here to the forums.
Again, thank you for your patience.
