i run the latest version, the loop just never in time, whats the use of buying a pioneer product that wont function right !
Are you using Rekordbox? If so, which version?
... CDJ-850s dont read grids from rekordbox and therefore doesn't use it for quantise or looping
theres been a lot of people asking for a firmware update regarding the looping, do you know if the engineers are working on it, its been a while?
@Gavin How many unauthentic questions are you going to ask? First off, he originally posted the thread and asked a question - but you completely ignore it, and in turn, answer his question seemingly with questions upon questions in which the answers to are not necessary to answer so. Let me repeat his question again for you, "Any new firmwares coming soon to fix the looping problem[?]"

and where is the update @gavin??
almost in 2013 and still didnt fix the looping function, just say ur not welling to update the 850. this isnt how 850 users should be treated, u should still do something about it, we all understand that its not a club used player but should still keep ur consumers satisfied!
Is anything being done or is this being ignored?...
@Gavin has posted on newer threads. This topic is clearly being ignored, let alone the 850.
Up !!!!! waiting a reponse too
There's nothing being ignored - I'm relaying your sentiments as always.
So, that's it? This thread has gone NOWHERE. From the OP's simple question, to being answered with beat-around-the-bush questions. And now concluded, with a bleak, opaque, and unheard (sarcasm) scripted statement.
Bump
I just bought a pair of 850's, luckily I payed drastically lower since it seems online suppliers are now offering a more fair price for them. I feel bad for people who spent 900 a piece on them. It's been two years Gavin. I have watched this forum and seen people complain about the looping function since the last firmware update...in 2011. If you're telling me that 1800 dollars for a pair of cdj's can't pay engineers to fix a problem in a two year time span, either Pioneer has quality control issues with their staff, or they just don't care. Time to put up or shut up, you can relay that directly to the "engineers."
There's nothing being ignored - I'm relaying your sentiments as always.
We need a clear response . Update soon or no ?
@quistuhpa > There's no conclusion or nothing being ignored and certainly no scripted response. I'm here to get answers to your questions and solutions to your problems. I've requested information from the engineers in relation to what has been reported.
Still not heard from them then?
up !! M. engineers dont forget this post.
Are we ever going to see a new firmware update for this player?
been waiting for over 3 months now, thnkx for not supporting us, and we all know we have no one to complain too and no one to help so we are all just stuck with these useless cdjs and yet i wont stop posting all around the web how the 850 line is the worst player u could get and u might think people wont care about my opinion but trust me we all see reviews about products before we buy and what do u think people will say after reading my review....! making your company look very bad!
Any news ?
bump...??
I'm going to just keep bumping this thread until they are forced to respond
Please refrain from bumping the thread. The information has been requested, I'm awaiting a response.
I've been waiting for a response...for two years
Can't believe this still hasn't been responded to by the engineers. I don't use the function now, I have £1500 worth of dj equipment sat only being used as an sound card for ableton cos this loop isn't fixed. Sure that's not the only reason I bought them in the first place but what's the point in using CDs or USB drives if I still need a laptop to loop and cut beats, i already have a superior software than rekordbox in ableton, wish I'd just bought a sound card. I probably would have if pioneer were honest when they first went on sale and said the loop wasn't anywhere near tight. Come on engineers save your face and get the loop tighter!!!!
Its more easy making money with new colors
Re-read this thread. The simple question of whether or not a Firmware Update is going to be released is avoided every time. He fails to make a legitimate response.
@Gavin Look at what you said 2 YEARS AGO:

2 YEARS LATER...WOW
Yeah to be honest I'm beyond fed-up with this. Gavin I'm sure you're a good dude, and you mean well. But somebody at Pioneer needs to be fired for not at least giving you a status update or, idk, actually fixing the F****** problem.
