Since the 1.20 firmware, all problems that I had before as been resolved. Greet job from Pioneer. The 2K-NXS are now as powerful as the 2K-MK1.

ou guys know I will test, probably not till tomorrow though, Have a lot going on today/tonight

the players still need a lot of work, they are not near as 100% as they should be. Hopefully they speed up the updates

Well.. Sorting (in usb drives) error seems be fixed. Thats great, but i would prefer, when i go out from a playlist and back in, tracks  should be sorted as default again, like in the 2k's.

I am glad it's fixed, I actually prefer it this way being that I sort by color on all my playlists so at least now when i do in and out of them they are always in "color" mode

At least they could give us the option... But ok, it's a step forward that it is fixed lol.

Is there a more detailed list of fixes than the below?  If so, can you please post that version for us?  If not, can you ask for one?

Ver.1.20 -> Ver.1.21 (19 November, 2013 Update)

- Fixed some issues when using the Needle Search pad function.

- Fixed an issue where a sorted playlist would not be shown as it was when returning to it from one layer above.

- Fixed an issue where the Master Player would be switched when an Active Loop starts.

I have the needle strip freeze when jumping to a part in a track in all versions, like it's trying to buffer a lot. Gets annoying when in a rush.

BriChi... so the problem with the needle search persists as i see isn't it? So what do they fix? Some issues... but other not. Did they test anything before getting released? Now what? Two months more? 

hmmmmmm not sure if i want to do this update either. i got my cdjk2 nexus with 1.13, i body swerved the 1.20 as everyone was saying dont update.... should i wait for the next update again? any views would be appreciated

I interpreted BriChi's comment as applying to all versions, rather than the latest one. I doubt he'd updated when he wrote that. Whether or not the problem is actually fixed remains to be seen.

The sad thing is, if Pioneer actually had the foresight to support people properly when there is a problem, I'd probably be one of the first to jump on a new firmware release and give it a try, as I'm not currently using the CDJs at gigs and wouldn't be bothered about introducing a new problem if I knew I could always roll back to a working version. I work in the IT support and systems administration field, and do this stuff for a living. As it is, I'm not throwing an untested release at a £3000 pair of players without having a back out plan in case it breaks them. At least 1.13 works reasonably well, even if it does lack the master/slave switching.

I have installed 1.21 last night and did some quick tests, so far so good with the fixes mentioned. There are still issues that need to be fixed obviously. I have 2 5 hour gigs this weekend so i will see how it goes

I can do more testing tonight if anyone has anything they want me to test before you update

What are you saying when telling "freeze on all versions"?

The needle its not working properly when touching? I use a lot the loops and slip and need to touch the needle.  Don't want to lose it if i update. It's properly fixed? 

Yes, freeze as in at times when I use needle search to jump to the middle of a track, the entire track will freeze as the white needle tries to find it's was for up to 5, sometimes longer seconds

check out my video, at times you can see it freezes especially at the end, these may not seem too bad but at times live on a gig they are even longer

Seeing that will not go onto 1.21. Will have to wait a year or so... to see a stable version...

Okay, if I understand you correctly BriChi you still have the bug that you documented in your video in June, that is the CDJ slows down and hang for some seconds when jumping in the track with the needle strip.

On the other hand I think I understand that the bug introduced in 1.20 and documented here http://forums.pioneerdj.com/entries/26032693--CLOSED-NEW-FIRMWARE-BUG seems to be fixed (other CDJ going into emergency loop and so on). Right?

Thats certainly my understand aswell, a brief session on them last night and i had no emergency loop issue.

same here, i played for a while and needle strip worked well, no Emergency Loop

So, BriChi, any news? Any new bugs or old ones? Or we can finally leave ver.1.13 and move to 1.21?

Freezing needle when searching track its not fixed at all. Hope they can solve it by next year om next update. By the moment will stay at 1.13.

Hope there's nothing new.

I dont really want to say its good, there are still plenty of unresolved issues, I have not found new ones yet. I have 2 5 hour gigs tomorrow and saturday so that's the real test. I hardly have issues when playing at home, it's mainly once i'm live and running them hard

Ok, I wanted an adrenaline rush and I just updated from 1.13 to 1.21 :D

It seems to be working so far, I tried to hammer on the needle strip a few times and I can't see any problems. The master/slave is fixed as well (that was done in 1.20).

Later fater 20:00 CET I'll play 2-3 hours on Mixify and see what happens ( http://www.mixify.com/juliao/event/deep-down-with-julia-o ). So far I've played 20 minutes without problems. Let's see later.

Which was the problem with master/slave so far?
