Seguir[SOLVED] XDJ-R1 disc stuck serious design flaw
Dear Pioneer, The XDJ-R1 is a new product with some minor flaws like no search button, without remote box, and no waveform views, even on iPad. There is one major design fault in the device though that needs to be fixed. There is no way to manually eject a stuck CD! There is no pin hole and no eject pin on the bottom of the device like there is on the CDJ1000 and CDJ2000. This is a very serious problem. My XDJ is 3 months old and I have to ship it back to the supplier now so that they can take the disc out. I'm having to pay shipping costs and maybe even worse I have no device for at least 3 weeks. I cannot wrap my mind around the fact that someone in the engineering department thought it was a good idea not to make manually ejecting discs an option. Or even worse, the drives themselves support this, like any other disc drive, but someone forgot to drill holes in the housing of the unit. Even your product manual states that E-9101 is a disc stuck in drive error but gives no solutions to this problem. Having everyone's ship their units back to suppliers once CDs become stuck doesn't seem like a fitting solution to an in my eyes very common problem. Best regards, Steve

@Steve > The engineers replied:
Unfortunately, there is no eject pin on the bottom of XDJ-R1 due to the integrated DJ player/DJ mixer design of this product.
Discs of different diameter or shape could get stuck in the disc slot and are not recommended for use with this player. If a normal 12cm-disc gets stuck in the disc slot, please send the unit to the retailer you purchased the unit or an authorized service center.
