Hi Pulse, yes I ment my XDJ R-1 is showing Version 8.81 ,not my Aero which I also own, apologies for the confusion.

Why does the XDJ-R1 not connect with recordbox , it shows only the CDJ2000 & XDJ-aero in the connection screen on iPhone/ipad

XDJ-R1 is seen by recordbox but not connectable ?

There is not such button like "rekordbox" in XDJ-R1 (CD/USB/MIDI) so it is rather normal that you cannot connect XDJ-R1 with Rekordbox. If you like to play from the PC you can Try Traktor instead (it is officialy supported)

I have written many times in this forum so that technicians give me a solution with desynchronization of the Hot Cues when Quantize is activated.

They have even replied to say that they are reviewing it or to seek a solution.

I have spoken with Spain SAT pioneer and don't have any news.

Please, we need an urgent response or to at least give us some explanation.

I think that is very bad that Pioneer has had problems with XDJ-R1 from the beginning and not take it as something urgent repair problems.

I know the XDJ-R1 is not a very expensive product, but they have to understand that those who started with this table can be potential customers of more expensive products and for my part are you losing much credibility...

Other problems is the build in soundcard , i use tracks bought in Beatport and analyzed by recordbox , wenn i make my sets with remotebox , hearable in my headphone are skips or other noises ,these are hearable in my recorded radiosets that are recorded from the Booth output into my Tascam DR-07

Still actual is the frozen Ipad screen while searching for a track in remotebox , last saturday happened by trying to search the 2th track of my set , have to turn of the XDJ-R1 & start from new !

Same problem on v1.09 firmware, after random time the Vinyl Mode turn on without click on the button. If I turn on and turn of the vinyl the R1 works correctly in CDJ mode, with firmware 1.08 no problems.

Thanks for the update Pulse, I'm still following this thread and am awaiting a solution so that I can purchase this rig. Hopefully the engineers work diligently to correct these issues. Cheers!

@Pulse > yes, in my last gig (sat 22nd feb 14) vinyl mode engage itself random. It was never appended since last June when I bought the XDJ-R1 and it was succeeded after I updated from v1.08 to 1.09 last Wednesday 19th feb 14.

My unit Sometimes randomly engages one of the effects (on the deck) ... It doesn't happen very often.. And it's never the same effect. I never spilled nothing on my unit.

I think it happens only when connected to remotebox (cannot have 100% sure as I do not know how to reproduce it. It just happens randomly)

@ Pulse no, nothing :( I don't use remotebox.

I have another problem. The virtual dj backspin works for a short time. Jog further spins backwards and the music already playing forward ... The firmware 1.07 that was not ... and at 1.09 already is .. No settings in the virtual dj do not help ... Again wine firmware ...

Hy.my xdjr1intermitenly freeze with big noise since 1.09 realease .

can I comeback to 1.08.

I am the guy that start this post since January  and I have to tell you guys that i found the solution of all my problems with the XDJ-R!.

Finally i return it to the seller. After almost 3 months fighting whit Pioneer and after no answers of them i decide to give them back my unit.

I just buy a new brand and I am soo happy.....

Pioneer! Just to tell you that you are loosing customers..... Sorry.

If I dont hear good news within days I am also going to return it.

I mainly want the hot cues to work accurately, but they dont. They are not strictly on the point and even keep changing when you push them a few times....

So we need a very good update 2.0 very very soon.....................................................

Hello. I established ver insertion on XDJ R1. 1.0.9 .

Function vinyl ceased to work! What to me can help?

In what there can be a problem?

After updating my XDJ-R1 to version 1.0.9, I can say that it has performed flawlessly since, one thing I did was to go out and buy a 500gb Portable hard drive (USB 3.0 Seagate) and formatted it FAT32 Version from the original setting of NTFS, I am still disappointed that it has not got a live playlist through Remotebox, in the same way as the Aero has through Rekordbox, if it had this feature, and it change the colour,or provided live Dj play count once loaded onto the unit, (via my Ipad mini) , this would be the complete Dj Controller.............................

I am still with 1.08 in my XDJ-R1 and will wait for 1.10 or newer. Last week I found a problem with deck 1 (left deck) in vinyl mode. Scratch is not working during play mp3 from USB (rekordbox analyzed, wi-fi off, remotebox off). If I hit pause scratch is workig, If I play a track scratch is not working the "scratch" is working like in cdj mode... The problem is only in DECK 1 - in deck 2 scratch is working in pause and play. Second problem is reading of Old CD-R Audio discs. My unit don't see old CD-R discs in both decks (2007 year and newer also) - The same discs I am using in CDJ-2000 nexus and they are working just fine without any problem

hi evrybody, as i can understand following all your posts, is that i m one amog too many people having issues on 1.09 updates. BPM issue is really annoyong problem.. in a mix now you can t trust the bpm datas as they continuosly change..why?? never saw such a thing from pioneer as a market leader on dj products. Anyway i experienced a little issue from ever: FILTER. It happen that even if knob are on center and you activate filter , songs are imemdiately changed without moving knobs.. did someone expericed tha same ? 

Any solution about bpm issue?

After several sets with horrible problems , finally decided to sell my XDJ-R1 !!!!

It's the 1th & last controller I bought even when "pioneer" is ticketed as nr.1 for Dj gear !!!!

This unit is not suitable for dj-ing professionally !!!

Sorry to say this , but a unit that collaps every time when you use it is not ok !!

Remote box chrashing with grey screens, sound problems with bleeps and other noises, deck problems !!!

I'm happy that it's out of my studio now !!

For all those that use it further , hope for updates !!!!!

But im wondering if there is someone from Pioneer that is following this forum on xdjr1. I saw that Pulse is in contact with pioneer and i thank him for this kind of sypport.. but anyway is quite ashaming that for such a product payed 1000 eur nobody is ready to answer you and customer service does not give any feedback... i wrote on saturday to cusotmer service and till today no feedback .. neither a simple mail that told me " hello, we are working on it ... " .. finger crossed as saturday and sunday i ll play.. finger crossed !

I bought xdj r1 last week and i'm facing the same problems (firmware 1.09 and using rekordbox worked files and remotebox woth ipad2)

I'm very scared about going on a gig with it ! :(
