[OPEN] XDJ Aero wifi country code

Hi,

I have purchased an XDJ Aero from the United States (I live in Spain) and I'm having trouble trying to connect my Macbook to the Aero wifi router. Somebody suggested that as it is from the US, the wifi may be coded to that country. Can anyone throw any light on this? And if this is the case, is there a way of changing the code?

I did manage to get the Aero to connect to Rekordbox once, but not since. Nothing regarding my Macbook has changed.

While I'm here, when I overcome this issue, does anyone know how or even IF I can get audience members to scroll my Rekordbox and select and load tracks to the Aero?

Thanks in advance,

Doug

1) European wireless uses the same frequencies, as I understand it they're just labelled differently. Have you tried disabling the wireless security on the AERO?

2) Yes, provided your audience members have the ability to connect to your router (SSID / key), and the rekordbox app, they could pull up the tracks from your USB connected device or throw tracks from their devices to the AERO provided the deck-lock is disabled.

Hi, yes I have tried disabling the wireless security and I've set up my firewall to allow the connection. I'll maybe try that again, you never know.

As regards point two, this is what I thought. So that's good news. So if Rekordbox is on my Macbook and I have my music on usb drives connected to that, would audience members essentially be connecting to my laptop? I see there is a facility to search for devices in Rekordbox which I've tried but have so far not managed to get to work. Is there a cross-platform issue? As I'm using an Android phone and a Macbook Pro.

Thanks for your help.

I would try it with the firewall completely disabled to ensure you've got full communication... there are four apps you need to allow through the firewall and sometimes not all of them pop up / get configured properly. If that works and it CAN communicate, with the firewall re-enabled you can verify functionality.

Your connection from rekordbox to the devices is also likely related to the firewall or your wireless router.
