Weird noises in my XDJ-R1

I've got my XDJ-R1 from the very beginning and updated the machine everytime when needed, but one problem still remains. At random it generates weird glitch noises in my music. I've tested it on several CDJ 2000 models and there I don't notice or hear any glitches. It's definitely not my music. It's legally downloaded and it's being processed on Rekordbox 3 now and before that on version 2.  My settings are on XDJ in Rekordbox.

It's just very annoying when your making a mix of some sort.

I'm curious if anyone experiences the same on his or hers XDJ....

Hey all,

I'm sorry that this took so long to be issued, but the engineers have released firmware version 1.13 for the XDJ-R1, which addresses the following issues:

  • Noise occurred when playing some tracks on a USB storage device.
  • Hot cue position was not on the beat position when it was called on rekordbox even if it was set on XDJ-R1 with QUANTIZE ON.

You can download the update here, update instructions are available here.

I have had this before as well, but it was the files with a bad sector that made the pop sounds.  If MP3s, have you tried running the tracks through MP3 Validator to fix any issues?

Thanks for the reply djjay! All my tracks are MP3 but I never use MP3 validator. Will check that out soon. So will that fix the file? But I don't get it with the tracks that pop or skip sound. When I load it to deck one I get that but when I load to deck two I don't get. Or when I reloaded again the deck one. It don't happen?
