[SOLVED] xdj r1 stability

Hello! I am looking to get into a professional/portable piece of gear, that utilizes rekordbox. I have read a lot about the xdjr1, and have found a lot of complaints, in terms of stability/crashing. Have all these issues been rrectified? Also, if I am connecting 3 terabytes of music, will remote box handle it just as good as rekordbox does for my cdj set? I have been holding off from buying the xdj r1, in hopes that a flagship xdj model will be released, that handles directly with rekordbox,  vs only remote box via apple product. I have waited this long, should I be patient!?

I love my XDJ R1 to bits, but it has issues. Main annoyance is that you must export drives differently for the R1 (where as the XDJ Aero can interchange with CDJ drives). Certain USB drives do appear to be able to crash the R1, but for the most part it is pretty stable. There are other issues such as the lack of single play mode (only continuous, which if you want to scratch your records in gets in the way as you're constantly scratching back into the last track).  I too am awaiting the next model on the XDJ lineup, as I'm hoping it finally completes the feature set we're all looking for.

I must also say, the lack of firmware updates since May of this year does make me suspect there is a new XDJ in the works..

@lennonpearson > The issue you'll run into is that the R1 maxes out at 10,000 tracks and I'm assuming your 3TB drive has more than that.
