You can do this, however you won't get all the functionality from in the players and i don't think the pads will work as successfully!… why don't you try using rekordbox?
Will it be possible to just plug out the USB from a laptop and directly play with it (like with the CDJ 2000 Nexus) on the new XDJ RX or is it necessary to create an exclusive library for it(like with the XDJ R1)?

Hi Ric thanks for your comment. I assume you have tested this already? The reason Im asking this is because it's so time consuming for Rekordbox having to create a special library for the XDJR1. So if that won't be necessary for the XDJ RX I will definitely order it. I want to be using it to prepare sets at home (instead of on the XDJR1) and while playing on the CDJ 2000 NXS sets at events.
Or do you mean that it is possible to save settings on the USB stick while Rekordbox is connected to the XDJ RX or XDJ R1? If thats the case I have been wasting a lot of time :)
