SeguirNew XDJ-RX flightcase in stock
Hi to you all, once again the guys at Pioneer have released a new piece of fabulous kit. We got a loan unit from Mr. Rik Parkinson at Pioneer UK many thanks for your help. Cases have been designed built and they are now in stock. According to Pioneer UK they aren't planning a case for this unit but we all love to protect our valuable PIO gear. Pulse, Gavin and the rest of the guys here please feel free to remove this post if you feel its necessary, as always we are just here to help.

Hi Arnie, Thanks for the enquiry we dont have a distributor in the US although we do ship worldwide so the case can be ordered from our website.

Sorry we dont do this unit in all black as we find the black scratches off the extrusion too easily.
Any other questions please feel free to drop me a lins

Thanks Sean, I'm going to leave it up while I check with corporate regarding their policy on linking. I know we used to have you guys featured in the old forum header, but if Pioneer is planning on releasing any cases, they may consider these links "advertising," which isn't permitted.
Hi Pulse no problems I totally understand, We had to rush a case through for Pioneer UK as at that point they didnt have any plans for a case for the XDJ-RX in the mean time I am happy to help out any of the members that I can
Sean
I needed a case pronto and emailed Swanflights support and quickly recieved a response that they would send out next day which they certainly did!
I payed on the monday got it wednesday in midnight blue 0o0o00o0 I'm really happy with it and the quality is great!
I believe I debt with Peter... so thanks to him and all those involved :)
@David > Photos or it didn't happen! ;)
Photos attached!
Note the generous connections/cable space to the rear :)
Looks great!
The one thing I would suggest to @Sean -- put the latch on the lid instead of the base. I had a coffin that had the configuration as shown in the photos above and I kept catching things on the latches.
Hi Pulse, I take your point as valid thats why on this unit we fitted the catches on the ends instead of the front and back, and maybe its just me being OCD but when I remove a case off my flightcases I always have to turn the catch back to its locked position and then fold the catch back up ;)
LOL - I used to do the exact same thing! So it's not just you. ;)
I must say @sean! You guys did a great job on this case. Fit is so nice in there! What I like about it the most is. That there is no extra. Everything is so and snug just the way I like it. Congrats on it David!
For the record I helped design both of these cases from Swan Flight. We collaboratively designed two cases. The first is a recessed case, designed for rental companies (like us) who need to ensure 100% protection for their rental inventory; the second is a shallow case designed to show off the Pioneer DJ logo on the side of the unit.
I just feel that Sound 2 Light should be credited for the collaborative design here.
Per the forum policies, no linking to websites where DJ gear is sold.
Hi Pulse, I totally understand you have rules an policies if you need to modify my listing with my link on I understand. I suppose us selling flightcases for DJs could be classed as selling DJ Equipment.
@ Craig R yes you did help on this one many thanks for your input on the 2 different designs
I received one of these at the weekend, cracking case for the money and very nice fit. Means I will be able to take my unit back n forth wit me during the week as I work away from home :)
Sean, I have one on the way to the U.S. Can't wait to get it. I am glad your company understands that the XDJ-RX is an all-in-one unit and doesn't need a big sliding laptop shelf on top (I won't mention names) but yeah, your flight case looks amazing and I'm really looking forward to using it. The XDJ-RX, by the way, for those who haven't seen or used it... is INCREDIBLE. :)
@ David Hicks
Fantastic photo's. Thanks for posting them. I was looking at getting one but thought you could only get black is the one you got 'Rigid PVC - Blue +6.45'
Was this the extra you got ?
Cheers.
Hi. No problem at all. I believe mine was the Rigid PVC - Midnight blue and yes an extra 6.45 or so. They do lots of colours.
I was tempted to get the pioneer stamped into it as well but thought best not to over advertise the contents making it even more of a target for thieves.
Great point - as much as we like to promote ourselves and our gear, sometimes "incognito" is a better anti-theft!
@ Mike Sinclair. I've had my XDJ RX on back order fir months. Where did you get yours from if you don't mind me asking ?
@Arnie, I got mine from ProAudioStar... but I pre-ordered it back in late January as soon as I could get a pre-order locked down. I just got it on Friday. Waiting 3 months was killing me. It's such a great unit. :)
Would have gladly done it Pulse but I know at several points I'll be walking through highstreets and on trains possibly at early hours of the morning.
Damn perhaps I should have got Casio put on it so they think its a crap keyboard in side... lol
@ Mike. Great to hear you got yours already. When I preordered mine, I was told I was on the first shipment, then early this month they told me that no units would be available in the US till the end of May. I just called them and found out that they have been lying to me. They received the first shipment and didn't send one to me even though they told me several times I was on the first shipment.
Just to let you guys know, I heard from a friend of mine who works at a popular US retailer and he told me they received only two units, and one of them was for the store as a demo... so they are trickling out in small numbers, as fast as the factory can produce them!
Thanks to all for the comments on the cases, we always try to ensure the cases fit perfectly. With regards to colours and costings, we carry the hexagrip black cases in stock (the hexagrip is the best quality board we use although as we use so much of it we can screw the suppliers down on price) the other colour boards are slightly more expensive and we build them to order. Hence the slight increase in price.
Thanks for that Dave. Deffo going to go with the midnight blue. Looks nice and classy.
Sean: I got my case for the XDJ-RX and I absolutely LOVE it!
Hi Mike, Glad you like it. All we need now is some more new Pioneer gear for me to design some new cases up for lol.
