[SOLVED] My Pioneer XDJ-RX

Hi all, I have just received my Pioneer XDJ-RX . I have upgraded it from my XDJ-Aero. First thoughts it is a lovely deck, bigger and more buttons to learn. I love having the wave screen to see my tracks. I have a couple of questions. What would be the best way to set it up to connect to Rekordbox on my pc, as I have most my music on Rekordbox ? I tried out a few tracks on a USB stick I had and that worked fine. Something that is new to me on this deck is the Trim controls on the mixer section, what are those needed for? They work like the master control. Also I need to work out how to set the cue points up, because as soon as I load in a track the tracks starts to play instantly. I can see me having some fun on this new deck. I love it so far :). Thanks for any info. Mark

Hello. The trim knobs are just separate volume control for each channel if for example you have to make one track louder, because its poor mastered or lower etc to equal the two tracks levels in your mix. To make the auto cue function (not to play instant when track is loaded just push and hold for a second the time mode button and the "a cue" will appear on the screen near both tracks. Then when track is loaded it is stopped ready for you to play it on the first cue point or you can set your cue then as you normal would on any Pioneer player.

Thanks for your help. I have now sorted out how to get Rekorbox working with the XDJ-RX to my PC. My McAfee software was blocking it from working. I had to disable the McAfee for it to work, strange I know. Thanks again :)

McAfee was likely acting as a firewall blocking the network traffic - you may be able to configure it to allow the rekordbox traffic through the firewall while still providing protection for the computer.

I will look into it more, it did the same on my XDJ-Aero all the time. Thanks
