Once you have configured your audio preferences within the software, did you make sure that you had things like the gains and channels up and headphone cues selected within the software?
Hey guys,
I have recently purchased an XDJ R1 from a friend and have tried to hook it up to Traktor 2.6.7 in order to record a promotional mix, i have some experience using a variety of controllers, have followed the instructions and also tried a few different things to see if i can fix the problem but to no avail.
Everything is working perfectly in regards to mapping and such however the sound is not coming through the headphones or output, i have the Audio Device set to PIONEER XDJ_R1 ASIO, the output routing is internal and for the Monitor is set to PHONES L and R, and the Master is set to MASTER L and R, i have a Focusrite Sapphire external sound card that i would like to use but have removed it from the system in order to try and fix this issue, any advice would be amazing as i love the unit and would love to have it working to its fullest,
Regards
Jake

Yep all that's up and functioning, the wave forms are all active on the channels and master when I play a song, basically from experience of using the program for the past 10 years it should be working :(
Yep I have checked all of those things, as I stated all functions are working perfectly and and there are sound levels showing on both channels, the master, and even the recording section, I think it's must be something to do with the sound are setup...
*Soundcard
If you have the channels and master showing levels, provided the headphone icons to cue the channels within Traktor are illuminated, the software should be sending audio to the headphone output. Can you send some screenshots?
Ok so ive fixed it by running everything through my external soundcard and using its headphone port instead of the R1's, thanx for the help :) just recorded an awesome mix and am very happy!
Sorry to hear that was the solution, I'm sure the R1 would work for Traktor. When I get my test unit again I'll post a video on configuration with various software and hopefully you can use that to eliminate the need for the external box.
