CDJ400 and Traktor

I dont really know much about traktor since im used to using cds, but soon im planning to buy traktor and i dont rally know the difference between the different kinds. i currently own CDJ400x2 DJM400, Macbook. What kind of traktor is the cheapest and works with what i have, does it come with the soundcard?

If you want to use timecode cd-s then the Traktor Scratch pro is your goal and Audio 4-6-8 or 10 sound card. Alternatively you can use cdj's in hid-midi mode with traktor and therefore you don't need soundcard-the sound card's are now built in in cdj's.

The cheapest route is to use the non-Scratch route, which does not require timecode.  You simply connect the players via USB to the computer and those will not only control Traktror (via MIDI), but also act as the audio outputs from the software to the mixer.

If you're looking for a cheaper route for the same experience, VirtualDJ's software is less-expensive.

@Imre > Connect one USB cable from each unit to a USB slot on your computer. Setup and run the Traktor wizard. What kind of computer are you using?
