If you want to use timecode cd-s then the Traktor Scratch pro is your goal and Audio 4-6-8 or 10 sound card. Alternatively you can use cdj's in hid-midi mode with traktor and therefore you don't need soundcard-the sound card's are now built in in cdj's.

The cheapest route is to use the non-Scratch route, which does not require timecode. You simply connect the players via USB to the computer and those will not only control Traktror (via MIDI), but also act as the audio outputs from the software to the mixer.
If you're looking for a cheaper route for the same experience, VirtualDJ's software is less-expensive.
Hi I'm also new to traktor and am deciding what version to get, all I want is to plug my CDJ 400 and my DJM 400 into my apple mac and play through traktor, is traktor pro 2 the best version for me and is it easy to set up ? Thanks, brad
The latest 2.5.0 in hid mode for cdj's
@Brad Voak > 2.5 is the most recent version of Traktor available.
Yes, its pretty easy to setup and we can help you if you encounter any difficulties.
I have traktor and CDJr400 and i bought the UAB A/B cables,
Im sorry it is not easy to setup , there is no useful video i have yet found, and nobody clearly explains how to set it up, im so annoye about it.
@Imre > Connect one USB cable from each unit to a USB slot on your computer. Setup and run the Traktor wizard. What kind of computer are you using?
