Traktor pro2 + DJM 2000 + 2 CDJ 2000 + 2 Technincs SL 1210 + Traktor control X1 + Mac book pro

Hello there,

I was wondering if someone could help me set up my gear. I have a pair of CDJ 2000 + a mixer DJM 2000 + a pair of Technics SL 1210. I just bought today a Traktor pro2 software and a traktor kontrol X1. I DO NOT have the traktor audio interface. My CDJ's are connected into channel 2 and 3 (CD) and my technics are connected into channel 1 and 4 (Phono) of my DJM 2000 mixer. How do I map them to have traktor controlling my CDJ's on deck 1 and 2 and my Technics on deck 3 and 4 of the traktor without using traktor audio interface and just simply connecting my laptop into the DJM 2000 USB port.  Also Can I just plug in my traktor kontrol x1 straight into my macbook pro laptop?

So far I've used only rekordbox but I want to be able to use both. Rekordbox + traktor + traktor control X1 with my DJM 2000, CDJ's 2000 and Technics turntables.

Is this possible?

Thank you!

Cheers,

J

@J > Due to the limitations of there only being one return channel from the mixer to the software, you're out of luck for at least using the 1200's as timecode controllers for Traktor.  You could certainly set it up so the 1200's are just for playing vinyl and the 2000's / X1 bring audio from Traktor into the mixer.

All you do is run the Setup wizard (found under the Help menu) and tell it you're using NO timecode and CDJ2000's as controllers.  It will default them to decks A and B, and it may default your audio interface to the DJM2000, but you can check that within the settings.

I don't want to open another thread so thought it  would be best to post here.

I have the same setup apart from I'm on windows 7 64 and have Traktor scratch pro 2 with the audio 10.

Can anyone please tell me if I can run the cdj 2000's in standard HID at the same time as using the turntables (timecode).

I can't get all 4 decks running together. I'm running the turntables through the audio 10.

I can only get all 4 working together if I also run the cdj 2000's through the audio 10 with the timecode cd's but the lag and lack of features on the cdjs is not acceptable.

No, you can't be in MIDI mode and CD audio mode at the same time.
