Using sample decks & FX's with CDJ-2000 and DJM-900 (Traktor Scratch Pro 2)

@Bradyhancock > If you want to use a Sample Deck with only 2 CDJ-2000's, I believe you would have to assign one of the players to a specific Sample Deck and have it only control the samples. The best bet would be to pick up something like a X1 controller just to control your Sample Decks. That would be much easier in my opinion.

When you say you want to use some basic effects with Traktor, what hardware did you want to control the effect with? Your DJM-900?

I am getting an X1 for Christmas.  I am just trying to get my stuff in line so once I have one I can be ready to go.  My question is how do you take the same in Traktor?  I am looking all over the screen and dont see how to start and end a sample to put on the sample deck.  Also in Serato I was able to set hot cues and control them with my CDJ-2000 are you not able to do that with Traktor?  As for the effects I am wanting to use the effects in traktor in my samples so when I am mixing I dont have to be messing with the Controler or my Mixer as much.
