so how do i go about this. the problem being there is only one 2000. can i just use laptop and use the mixer?
You can use a midi controller or keyboard but , it's better if you go to the NI's forum and check for answers.
Cheers!
so i cant just run traktor on the laptop use the djm800 as external mixer?
Of course you can
what about as of soundcard. do i need an external soundcard?
Yes, if you're using the DJM-800 you'll need an external soundcard. Take a look in the manual it's all in there...
tracktor audio 2? if so are they good
@jay > If you are thinking about updating your players then I would go down the route of the CDJ900s or CDJ2000s. You'll have built in soundcards meaning you won't have to buy an external soundcard - at least that way you'll still be able to use a variety of media; CDs, USBs, (SD cards), laptop, rekordbox etc.
