Is the distortion continuous or intermittent? Where do you get your audio files? Do you use external power? Do you use shielded cables?
Have you tried removing the power from your laptop?
Hi I'm a relatively new dj who started out with a reloop and has now upgraded to the ergo K I seem to have intergrated the controller with traktor pro perfectly fine I can manipulate controls however when I headphone cue and indeed any sound I ouput is played there Is severed distortion a really unpleasant crackling, I do not know wether this is a laptop latency issue an issue with the software or what? As the functions in the controller seem to be working correctly Any ideas?? I have some parties soon and I need to get this controller running smoothly? Many thanks much appreciated

Hi Gavin my computer specs are a toshiba with an AMD Sempron(tm) SI-42 2.10GHz processor and over 3 G of RAM it is a 64 bit operating system, and I am a new dj so I used the iTunes files already on the laptop and setup the ergo K via the setup wizard and as my monitors are being repaired my only audio output is to my headphones so it is literally the laptop hooked up to the controller and headphones out the headphone socket I just use the charged laptop and the distortion is wierd because I have managed to fix it a couple of times and somehow it stopped, but now it is just crackling whatever track I play? Is this to do with the audio drivers?
