VDJ Pro 20 Days Trial issue

Hi Guys

After using the LE edition that came with my DDJ Ergo i decided to activate the 20 day free trial of the Pro version before forking out for it.

The Pro version is so much better as expected, however there is just one big issue i'm having and that is using the jogs the cue up the waveforms.....it's all over the place, it's virtually impossible to be accurate as the latency is awful, as opposed the the LE version which is spot on, the only way i can do this is either to use the mouse to drag the waveform or the VDJ jog wheel to it's position, surely this isn't right.

Can this be adjusted in the settings, or is this something that you've come across before?

I really don't want to waste my money on an upgrade if the result is the same with the purchased version of Pro

Hi Eddie,

VDJ PRO FULL works really well with the Ergo, where is a little bit of set up to do to get it how you want but for most users all you have to do is uninstal the LE version and install Pro  and it works spot on. I am using it with the CDJ850S and have got to say they work the best with VDJ PRO  than when I have tried with the other DJ softwares out there.

If you have got any worries and thoughts though pop over to the VDJ website register your LE software and you will get all the help / advise and support you need. Not to mention a discount on VDJ PRO as you have an LE version already.

Hope this helps

Hi Ian

Thanks for the quick reply.

There is no mention to uninstall the LE version before using the trial but if you think this may help then i'll give it a go.

Was using VDJ Live Chat the other day & the guy on the other end told me that the full version will cost me £113 (uk), is this right? if so what discount am i entitled to when i register my LE version?

Sorry I meant if you get Pro and you have some issues with the Ergo which is rare, all you have to do is move the Ergo mapper that is saved in the Virtualdj folder in my Docs to your desktop, uninstall LE install pro and pop the Ergo mapper back where it was. This is only if you have a problem which is very rare to be fair. With pro it also lets you remap and tweak your controller as much as you want / like.

As for the price £133 is a bargain for Pro Full as it is around £250-£300 without discount (looks like they gave you the discount price already as you have the Ergo).  Also If you do buy there are loads of plug-ins, effects, and skins on the sight for free.

Also with the trial version of pro in the settings of VDJ under performance tab make sure you have auto selected and under the sound setting you have the pioneer asio driver selected with the ultra latency box ticked to see if that helps.

You can also set how your jogs work in the settings as well.

Im all for paying the price quoted of £113 but i'm  surprised that you said that the usual price is between £250-£300, this price is way over the top when at the moment you can buy the Traktor S2 controllerl including the FUlL version of Traktor pro 2 for kust £329!

I'll check the settings you mentioned and let you know if they have improved the performance of the Ergo.

Really hope it works for you,

As for the price I think it's very well priced for what you get (use any sound card, Timecode vinyl + cd support, HID + MIDI Support, well over 80 controllers supported - mix and match at the same time, up to 99 decks at the same time, karaoke support, video djing from the start with no extra cost, audio and video broadcast over the net, plus free updates for life). Also VDJ 8 is out soon!

No, it's no good!  Latency is set to auto, Asio driver selected & ultra latency box ticked!......making me wonder....is £113 too much to pay?
