[CLOSED] DJ Wego Problems with ASIO and Windows 7 64bit

Gutted ... its my sons birthday and I bought him a We-Go.

Even though the sales spec says that the wego is compatible with Windows 7 we have had nothing but problems with the ASIO driver.

Long story short with ASIO we can't get VDJ to work at all. By removing the ASIO driver we can run the VDJ using the keyboard but not the We-Go

Is there a fix please?

I have tried so many different solutions and options in the config it just seems that Windows 7 64 bit and ASIO are not compatible.

Is there another driver or a patch or something?

Really disappointed DJ Dad trying to start his son off with Pioneer kit!

Oh no, disaster! Ok, lets try to get you sorted as quickly as possible so your son can start rocking out like his awesome Dad.

First, can you ensure that you have all the firmware and drivers updated. You can find the download links here:

http://pioneerdj.com/support/product.php?lang=en&p=DDJ-WeGO&t=169

Next, about half way down this page you should see VDJ support information:

http://pioneerdj.com/support/product.php?lang=en&p=DDJ-WeGO&t=155

Please report back and let us know how it goes for you.

I am also having issues with my DJ WEGO. When i run Virtual DJ it says "Error in the ASIO sound driver. Your sound card is probably not, connected or the settings is incorrect. What should i do?

@Jonathon > Tell me how you attempted to set everything up. Have you followed all the information I provided for @Bernardr above?

Hi its me Bernard ... tried it and it does not work.

I have to say that I did not expect to have to upgrade and use a 64 bit patch ... your sales literature says compatible with Windows 7 and I therefore reasonably expect it to work straight out the box with a Windows 7 PC.

This was a present for my son who is very frustrated.

Do you have any technicians in Nottingham UK I can take the lap top and controller too to get this sorted?

if you have windows 7 64 bit you don't need the driver softwear but the wego controller doesn't work, why is this and how do we sort it????

It seems like there are alot of problems with the WEGO controller itself, with the AIOS driver, and with the bundled Virtual Dj LE software.

My Win 7 laptop is also having problems.

1) I cannot seem to change any setting in Virtual DJ audio preferences - everything gets reverted back to headphones/Asio driver (so, cannot select laptop soundcard or separate soundcard etc).

2) When routing the WeGo to external speakers, it doesnt play any audio output. Only Audio jack that works is the headphone jack. I tried this with Virtual DJ and with Tracktor as well - although the controller moves the tracks on the screen just fine, and works with all the effects and stuff, it does not play audio out of the outputs. Considering that the laptop speakers function doesnt work either, the unit that i have becomes worthless.

3) Asio Driver always sending crash error message even though I turn on the WeGo before i switch on a dj software

Ive tried reinstalls, full wipes, and even an installation on a completely different laptop (also Win 7 64 bit ) - unit doesnt want to work.

Really gutted as this was a birthday present for me from my parents, and I was looking forward to the WEGO since it was first announced. Seems like until it is fixed, its a useless piece of kit

I have the same problem, i have windows 8 - 32 bit and the last firmware 1.07.

I tried on windows 7 in 32bit and 64bit, but the problem is the same.

In Vitural DJ . 7.3 B422 and Trackor, a lot of problems with WEGO.

Become dissatisfied with the purchase of wego.

I also have purchased this controller for my son and have exactly the same issues on a ASUS Ultrabook i5 running 64bit Windows 8. This issue prevents him from using Virtual DJ and Serato Intro. I see there has been no further correspondence / response from Pioneer, does this mean there is no foreseeable fix for Windows users any time soon? I'm starting to regret not paying the extra bucks for the Native Instruments S2!

Does everyone in this thread have their issues resolved?

Here are my suggested steps to resolve the issue you are having, regardless of the version of Windows you are running...

1) Download and install the latest version of VDJ - as of this post, v7.4 (b454).

2) WITH THE WeGO DISCONNECTED, download an reinstall the DDJ-WeGO drivers - as of this post, v1.00.

3) Connect the WeGO to a DIFFERENT USB port than the one to which was previously connected, allow Windows to detect the device.

4) Open the Version Display Utility (found under Start > All Programs > Pioneer > DDJ WeGO) and verify that v1.00 shows for the drivers and v1.07 for the firmware.

5) Launch Virtual DJ. You should now be able to load songs and have the playback of audio come through the headphones for cueing and master output for the master playback.

Please note that as of version 7.3, the configuration of the soundcard occurs automatically and there are no settings to change.

And yes, this works just fine with 32bit or 64bit versions of Windows Vista, 7 or 8. For Windows XP, there is no 64bit support.

No it doesn't work fine... I have windows 8 64 bit and I still have the same problem. I followed all the steps, I am already busy for many hours but I cannot get it working. It is making me very frustrated, because I waited 3 days on this package (the mailcompany was making mistakes) and now it is already weekend and I cannot try out my new stuff now I have the time!

I keep getting this message: Error in the ASIO sound driver. Your sound card is probably not, connected or the settings is incorrect

Just tried on windows vista, there it is working very good! So what Pulse is saying is not true I think. The funny thing is, windows 8 knows the DDJ-wego, I can hear the sound trough my headphones and boxes conected with the wego. Only Virtual DJ is doing difficult, complaining about the ASIO driver. Where is it going wrong? Wego or Virtual DJ?

I have a request, can you tell me how to delete the wego from the registry?

Lol quick response ... you must be under the impression that Pioneer sees us WeGo users with windows problems as a priority as if we as customers are important to them

I am facing the same issue.... "Error in the ASIO sound driver. Your sound card is probably not, connected or the settings is incorrect". I am using a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and Virtual DJ is not recognizing the ASIO Sound driver of DDJ-WEGO. I already updated the WEGO  firmware and now I have Ver 1.0.8 and still is not working.  I am really fustrated now.

I tried installing the WEGO and VDJ in other computer with Windows 7 32 bit and it worked correctly.

Can somebody help me please? What's wrong with Win 7 64 bit????

I was reading the manual and I found this comment:"When using a 64-bit version of Windows, the driver software can only be used for 32-bit applications", What does that means? Should I install a 32-bit version of Virtual DJ?
