[OPEN] Serato DJ 1.7.2 Cannot Recognize Pioneer DDJ-SR on Mac OS X Yosemite

I connected my DDJ-SR to my Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10.1) using Serato DJ version 1.7.2 for the first time. My Yosemite recognizes the DDJ-SR with firmware version 1.07, but Serato cannot recognize the DDJ-SR since it is in "offline" mode where I can only see one virtual deck on the left. I also activated the Serato software with no issues, but it displays a "trying to connect" message after clicking on the "My Serato" button on the bottom right side of the GUI window. I have perused many online forums that the reason I cannot see two or model's is because the DDJ-SR is not connected to Serato. I also know that Yosemite is proven compatible with Serato 1.7.2. However, Yosemite can recognize the DDJ-SR, but not Serato. Thus, I'm not certain if this a software or a hardware issue.

Can anyone please help in figuring this out for me?

You are correct - as of December 11th the DDJ-SR was certified as functional with Yosemite: http://pioneerdj.com/support/files/img/Yosemite_En.pdf

Have you tried changing the USB cable or connecting to a different USB port? What is the model of your Mac? (Go to the Apple > About this Mac > System Report > Model Identifier).

Have you verified that your SR is showing up in the MIDI section of the Audio MIDI Setup tool (found under Applications > Utilities)?

Having the same problem here. Also created a new configuration on Audio MIDI Setup (that can be seen attached), but Serato DJ 1.7.2 can't recognize my DDJSR (vs 1.07). My MAC model is: Processor 2.66 ghz intel core 2 duo / Memory 4GB 800mhz and I'm running on Yosemite. There's a plus thing: it works FINE on Traktor (mapped for DDJ SR).

Some help out there?

I am having the exact same issue and I went into the MIDI section swell to change the configuration (as instructed by others who have resolved a similar issue on a s1)

Still haven't had any success yet.

having problem with my serato dj app.it wont open, i already installed it but when i open it, nothing happen,,it just suddenly close,,is it problem with serato or serato having problem with mac ios yosemite?? thanks

Have you tried installing 1.7.3?
