yes I have the same..was hoping for an answer
Hey all, is anyone receiving this error when trying to install the RMX 500 and RMX 1000 Plugins?
“There was an error reading the package.
An error occurred while evaluating JAVAScript for the package”
I am on a mac running 10.10.5
Logic Pro X
I activated JAVA (I am under the impression that JAVAScript comes packaged in with JAVA, but someone please correct me if I am wrong)
Have latest JAVA which was verified on their website (Assuming that the above statement is true)
THANKS!!!!!

I think that it's that we need an older version of JAVA installed and thanks to Apples stupid ways about JAVA, this may be hard to accomplish. Hopefully Pioneer will reprogram the installers in a better language
Have written to them..will report if there's any joy
Good Luck.. I just called them and they were ZERO help... I may have lost a few IQ points after the phone call..... They actually think that me downloading the file to another PC, putting it on a flash drive and bringing it to my main computer and installing it will fix the problem..... I'm still in shock, that just may be the dumbest thing I have ever heard... please let me know if you have any better luck!!!
will do..I will use all the charm and acerbic wit I can muster, was really looking forward to using that plugin and have already had great results with the hardware..so it's fkin irresponsible of them to ignore their shortcomings..the new apple?
I think I may be on to something.... the RMX 500 has a driver... I just installed the RMX 500 Driver for Yosemite (even though I am not going to be using it as an interface) and it actually allowed me to install the RMX 500 Plugin afterwards... however, I tried the 1000 and the same issue occurred again (but there is no driver for the 1000).... So if you are using the 500... try that driver and then install the plugin... If not, we will keep each other posted on the RMX 1000. I do have both units and what is crazy is that on the 500, I wasn't getting the error that the RMX 500 Must be connected to install the software, I was getting the JavaScript error in question.... Maybe whatever is in the code for the 500 driver, they need to make a driver with the similar code for the 1000 in THAT driver..... It sounds dumb as crap, but it definitely more viable than download it to another computer and transfer it over via a flash drive.
WELL DONE OLD CHAP !!! It bloody worked!!..can't thank you enough regards Sal
500 or 1000?
I only have the 500..I use Mavericks but the Yosemite driver did the trick..it seems to want to work as an interface too but with my zillion dollar signal path no way... thanks again..anything I can do just holler
OK... I was hoping that you only had a 1000 or both and it worked on at least the 1000 ;)... If they get back to you, please let me know what they said on how to fix this
Thanks and happy effecting,
Brian
I've asked our product team to verify that the drivers and plugins for the RMX units are up to date for all operating systems.
Thanks a million... this is really strange.... I thought the drivers were for using it as an audio device, not necessarily for controlling the plugin... as far a the RMX 1000, I do have the RemixBox software installed and it sees the 1000 fine... which tells me that it's not a driver issue, but the 500 did the same error until I installed the driver.... thanks a million for all of your help!!!!!!
Don't ask me how/why... but it is now allowing me to install the 1000 plugin... even though it did not let me originally install it after installing the RMX 500 driver... I think that something in the driver is what ultimately let me install it... really strange...... (I have restarted and completely shut down multiple times)
