So i got tired of coming back to this post hoping that someone, anyone would give me some insight on what is going on with this device. I decided to give customer support a call and after waiting on hold for 5 to 10 minutes (which wasn't too bad) spoke to a tech who walked me through a bunch of different things to do on my laptop which didn't make a difference. Windows recognizes the wego2, it's the wego2 that refuses to accept the firmware update yet it has itself in the update mode (flashing center lights) and refuses to get out of update mode no matter what is done. I was then given 2 authorized pioneer electronics repair shops to take the wego2 to. It was according to the vicinity of my zip code that they were recommended. One was in New Jersey somewhere i never heard of (lake hyoaka or somethingk like that) and the other was in the Bronx where i used to live. Great, i was willing to travel to drop off the wego2...that is until i read the reviews of 2 customers...all i can say is that one review starts off as "what a horrible operation, shop is a junkyard crammed with AV crap going back decades. The two Russian boob-brothers take turns sitting on a pile of rubble with a soldering iron to "fix" your problem, $200 later i'm shipping my equipment to a real authorized dealer". LOL, i dont know about you young crowd but when i read that i instantly thought about Steve Martin and Dan Ackroyd as two "wild and crazy guys". In all seriousness, i have one more move i can make and that is to get the reciept and try to bring it back to where ever it was bought and get an exchange. Good luck to everyone else.

SeguirDDJ WeGO2-w stuck in update mode.
My son recieved his birthday gift from grandparents last week and has been using his DDJ WeGO2 with his iphone 5c using DJay2. He recently starting having issues with the app not responding to WeGO2 when phone plugged in or app responding but then getting cut off from WeGo2 after a few minutes (could've been just an app thing but...). Thats besides the point, my problem is that my nephew decided to update (without my knowledge) the firmware on the Wego2 using my laptop. He told me that he had followed the directions to the "t" but the update wont download since a "Wego2 device not connected" message keeps popping up. I've looked through most of the FAQ's and have tried to figure out what the heck to do to at least get out of this "update mode" funk the Wego2 is in (constant flashing center lights). When i go to start> all programs> Pioneer> DDJ_WeGO2> it shows me ASIO settings and version display. Windows Driver Pack says: Ver1.000, Firmware: DDJ-WeGO2: Ver2.06.
I'm using windows vista and have no dj software downloaded (not sure if that makes a difference but just letting you know). I have also went into device manager and see that the Pioneer DDJ-WeGO2 is listed and its under "sound, video and game controllers", would that make a difference as in location? Clueless here, would appreciate some help.

@Miguel > Sorry this post was missed -- and that's kind of crazy to read about those reviews.
When you have the WeGO2 connected and launch the firmware update utility, do you have JAVA installed so the application launches and actually completes the update?
Hey Pulse, i didn't think anyone had answered until i checked today. To answer your question, yes JAVA is installed. If i'm not mistaken the firmware did update, currently it shows as having ver2.06. My thing is this, the WeGO2 will not get out of update mode (center lights flashing) even if you turn the power switch off. When you turn the power switch back on it simply has the center lights flashing as if you've just started the update mode. If i double click the updater file i get a message that the WeGO2 is not connected and yet if i go to control panel and devices clearly the WeGO2 is listed under "sound, video and game controllers". So the computor acknowledges the WeGO2 connected to the usb which means plug is good. Only one question that i have is why the update version is listed as ver1.03 and yet ver2.06 is supposedly in the WeGO2?
Does it only show as having 2.06 after the update completes? If you power down the controller (disconnected, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes) then reconnect it and force it into update mode, does it still show 2.06 or 1.03?
Hey Pulse, when i power down the controller for more than 5 minutes then reconnect it, it starts already in update mode. That was the main problem, you had no way of making the controller exit update mode. I was fortunate to get the receipt and had already returned the controller for a new one which should arrive today. I do want to mention that i seen a youtube video of someone with a more expensive Pioneer controller that had the same problem as i did (the device stuck in update mode with center lights flashing). In his case he was updating the firmware when somehow he was disconnected before completion. He tried to update it again but the controller never came out of update mode. So in my original post i wrote that my nephew had tried to update the controller and maybe he might have disconnected the controller from the computer before the update was complete which caused the whole problem. In any case, new controller coming soon so thanks for the help Pulse.
@Miguel > Yes, if it was ever interrupted that could be the problem. Glad to hear you've got a replacement en-route.
