Yah just downloaded. Loving the two deck feature.
Nice! Been waiting for the 2-deck feature.
A couple of issues and thougths of the new release though:
* Unable to access memorized cuepoints in 2-deck mode.
* Would be nice to make Hot cues accessable in 2-deck mode
* Would be nice to quickly access the library/tracks from 2-deck mode without leaving landscape mode.
Am i missing something or have Pioneer totally broken the iOS app?
Its saying when you connect an XDJ Aero using Wifi that you cannot play Wav or Aiff files from your playlists....
So if you use an iPad like me to control your Aero, you can only now use mp3???
Please tell me thats a bug...
w
On the previous iOS app, (and the main selling point of my Aero in the first place!!) all you had to do was connect the iPad to its network, and you can play through your playlists on your USB device.
Now it wont play any of the tracks that are Wav or Aiff even though they are on a USB drive?
This will render my setup useless and im going to be very pissed if Pioneer have done this.
SO, just to clarify, when you now select USB Browse ON, it either just shows a black screen, or when it does load refuses to let you play Wavs or Aiff's. You get a warning screen saying they are not playable on the new iOS app.
constantly freezes, not even remotely ready for public, should've tested more i think. Right now I have a track playing and the whole app is frozen, can't touch anything, nothing moving and then it just closes (crashes). Happened 9 out of 10 times trying to use it.
Also, just noticed that they have removed the landscape mode, so now only works in portrait.
Who designed this???
it works in landscape if you pay them $1 lol
I dont even see any screen to purchase additions? How do you access that?
if I'm in player mode and i turn the screen sideways I get that you can purchase "2 player mode" for $.99
when i rotate mines, it doesnt turn (and yes my rotation lock is off)
will try and reinstall
you have to actually be on the screen where the song is playing and the waveform is scrolling like the pic below, then you can rotate it

I think this update of Rekordbox will be remembered for what was taken out rather than what was put in. Considering where the program is actually heading, it seems a bit of a downgrade rather than an upgrade.
No customising the beat count, no metronome (granted we have that on the main version), a two player mode that seems to strip things to its bare minimum. Seems a bit like over-egging the pudding to make it stand out.
The only way this app would now be viable is to create an iPad version to take advantage of the space. I'm disappointed that the full potential hasn't been realised
There certainly is metronome and beat count. I think you may need to explore this more. When you click any of the three tabs "Memory Cue" "Hot Cue" or "Grid" click it again and all the extended features pop up.
This does work slow & freezes on my iPhone 4s & still a bit slow on my 5s but runs decently smooth on my iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2. I am hoping they could get it running better for the older hardware but if not at least the current hardware is running decently.
I've seen the extended features and there's no metronome. I understand you can set this in Settings, but it hasn't made any difference.
The metronome shows when you extend the "Grid" tab.
Ah, got it!
Your concerns and comments have started a look into by Japan. Once an engineer has an update or more info I will report it here. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Thank you...
I think my problems are to do with the fact that the new app is not compatible with iPad2 on iOS8.4, even though it says it is.
You are aware it specifically says "Requires iOS 5 , iOS 6, or iOS 7" right on the system requirements page correct?
The adoption rate for iOS8 is now at 86%. Pioneer release an app for an OS that is not available anymore?
and Deejay Dave, the system requirements are iOS8 or iOS7 actually
The literally changed that page today LOL. The above was actually cut & paste from the same page.
I am running it fine on iOS8 anyways so I doubt that is the issue. Again not 100% on my older devices which may account for the iPad 2's poor performance but who knows.
App is working, as others have stated, just need to replace the "features they have removed"
Landscape mode whrn the App is wired into the CDJ needs sorting .. not everyone wants to use it portrait mode!
They are saying it should work fine on iPad2 with iOS8.4, but it is almost useless...nowhere near working.
so, im happy your app is working DJcccc, but its not working for many others.
