Is there a way to let playlist play continuously on xdj rx?

Hi

I's there a way to create a play list in this and let it play through the list automatically? I used to be able to do this on my cdj 850s by turning auto cue off

Hi,
Yes you can, in Utility Menu set Auto Play Mode to ON and check on the screen that Auto Cue (A.Cue at the left of timer) is disable (not seeing).
Let us know
Regards

Would be nice to have a setting to "auto fade" between tracks within playlists, or even between decks or playlists! (auto fade by time, i.e. 5 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, etc.) Great for sections of events for continuous background music without song gaps!

Exactly - but you don't spin tunes typically during a wedding prelude, cocktail hour or meal - or for a cocktail hour at a corporate function. I don't usually go into "turntable" mode until the dance floor opens up. Plus I do a lot of A/V events where it would be nice to have this feature - especially in a standalone DJ unit like the XDJ-RX. (Again, check out the old Denon standalone architecture!)

I agree with u Adam... There are occassions when using an auto playlist with tracks fading would be good for me too... In fact that's why I had asked the question in the first place hoping there be this function also ;)

You really need to stop comparing things to Denon ... or just go and use a Denon. ;)

I thought I already mentioned to you where I'm coming from @pulse. Been using Denon standalone DN-HD2500 since 2007. They abandoned their standalone technology to partner up with Serato and Traktor. Pioneer makes first standalone product finally - I'm "trying" to be on board, provide feedback and hopefully help Pioneer make a better product. I thought that's what this forum was about? Working out the bugs, glitches, issues - but also to provide feedback to improve. And since I have nothing else to compare the XDJ-RX to, I will compare it to what I know well and currently still use as my instrument of choice for events. Hoping to open up the eyes of the engineers, now knowing what I know, to the possibility of better hardward, processing, memory and functionality. Thought you had a "pulse" on that...

Hey Pulse you need a better understanding on what a DJ does for a wedding when you're playing dinner music it would be nice if it DJ the basic music. Even though it's our job it's also our job to have the bride and groom fully taken care of so we can design and create the evening with all of the vendors and not have to worry about stupid dinner music playing. I can understand you saying you're a DJ that's your job well you're a forum that's your job to listen to people who actually purchased Pioneer so maybe there can be some kind of updates to your equipment so it actually works for the people who are actually using it. Maybe if you guys listen you could actually make a good product for once. Just saying it's your guys's job to actually make great equipment and listen to the customer remember that's your job.

@Chris > I am a DJ in addition to being a support guy here. As such, I can tell you that I've used the XDJ-RX at a wedding, and it will play from track to track in a playlist in continuous mode with the auto cue turned off... and no additional "listening" is required because it already does what you're asking.

Track to track, but not "crossfaded."  Sounds janky when a song plays till it's done and then a new one starts.  I guess this is why I still prefer out-dated gear that actually does what I want it to.  I'm just wondering which manufacturer will step up and make a product that the mobile djs will all flock to.  Right now, we are stuck with Pioneer, Denon, Numark, Mixars, Stanton, Reloop and Native Instruments all rolling with "club dj" solutions that don't have auto-fade options - yes, auto-mix and sync (two features any PRO shouldn't care about), but yet no solid auto-fade.  I really don't get it.

Sorry to come back into this conversation, but the notifications brought me back!

I just found out Windows Media Player might do this, too.

It´s very sad that Rekordbox doesn´t have this opinion to fade the tracks in and out automatically. Are there any solutions for this "problem"? I consider to buy the Plus Pack for my XDJ-RX, but without this feature I think I use still VDJ for that. And it´s right, every DJ software has the features Auto-Mix and Sync. Who needs this isn´t a DJ imo.

I'm glad you put "problem" in quotation marks, because it really isn't a problem. ;)

The only (current) solution for auto-mix is to put your hands on the hardware and do it.
