DDJ-FLX4 tempo slider

I'm having an issue with the tempo slider on my left deck. 

When I pull it from center down, it should slowly increase my BMP, but instead it lowers my BPM until I hit the second to last line and then it starts to sharply spikes up. 

When I pull it from center up, it lowers the BPM slowly as it should and the right deck is working just fine. This is happening in both Serato and Rekordbox so my hunch is this is a controller issue. 

I believe this started when I was messing around holding shift while playing around with the tempo slider. 

Is there a way to fix this or do a hard reset on the controller?
