DJM 750 Recording channels separately

Hello,

Is it possible to record two or more channels separately using the usb connections from my DJM 750? I want to record channel 1 and 4 on two individual tracks in a DAW.

So far I have tried recording in Audacity, but only manage to record the master output. I realized later that Audacity doesn't support ASIO, so I gave a try with Stidio One 3, but still haven't managed to record anything.

Any advice will be appreciated! Thanks!

You would need to select those within the DJM-750 settings applet; select each channel as recording that channel POST-FADER and then configure it within your recording software to capture the appropriate channels.

I am still struggling to make any DAW recognize the 4 Ins/4 Out channels for my pioneer sound card.

I am currently using Ableton Live Suite hooked to DJM 750 through a USB cable. I have installed Asio4All driver and have it selected as an audio device in Ableton(see picture 1).

As you can see the sound card is appearing as only 2In/2out which is practically one stereo channel for each In and Out.

I would want to assign each channel of the djm to 4 different tracks in Ableton so that I could play the tracks and mix them through the mixer. And also vise versa recording output from the mixer channels on to separate tracks in Ableton.

I am also attaching snap-shot of my DJM-750 settings applet. No matter what audio inputs or outputs I set, there is no sign of 4Ins/4out in the software.

Tip 1: Don't use ASIO4ALL.

Tip 2: You need to use the 32bit version of Ableton Live until Pioneer DJ releases 64bit drivers for the mixers; 64bit software can only access the first pair of an audio I/O from a 32bit driver.

I never realized there was incompatibility between the drivers and ableton! I gave it a quick test with the 32- bit and it is working no probs, thank you for your help!

Not so much an incompatibility as a "that's the way things work in the digital realm!"

Glad to hear you were able to get it working. I know the engineers are working on providing updated 64bit drivers, but we don't have a timeline yet.

Hello

Apologies for writing here I have a DJM 750 Mk II and I cannot record through a line in channel into any DAW Logic or Ableton. My DJM-T1 mixer had no problems doing this.

Please can you advise how I can record analog input through the USB cable to my Logix Pro X or Ableton Live 10.1.

This is very urgent for me, as this is now preventing my production workflow since upgrading the mixer 1 week ago,

Kind Regards

Matt

@Pilgrimz > Per above...

1) Don't use ASIO4ALL (if you have it installed, uninstall it).

2) If you want to record each of your channels, use the same configuration as shown above for your mixer outputs. If you prefer just to record the mix, select REC instead for any one of the outputs.

3) Select the appropriate audio device and channels for your software to capture the source(s).
