Are you able to load that same missing track after you reboot?
When i try to load a missing track from RB, the unit shows an error message on the regarding deck and afterwards i was not able to load any new track on that deck again until i restart the unit. Please fix this.

Are you able to load that same missing track after you reboot?
I did not test it because i deleted the file afterwards...
If it happens again, please let us know.
Ok, i deleted a file from iTunes and then tried to load it via the link function. Again the deck displays a error code saying 'E-8306: No File' and i cannot load any track into this deck. The other deck still works as usual. So the unit das not completly crash or so.
Are you deleting the track to try and replicate a "missing" track?
Yes. Why do you ask?
Just trying to figure out why you're trying to load a deleted track.
Do you possibly have iTunes set to manage the location of your audio files? Look in the settings under Advanced:

Ok.
I do not think that iTunes is the problem here. Regarding to your question: yes i do. And the files i deleted in iTunes were also deleted completely from my laptop. Rekordbox still shows the file in its Library and so does the XDJ-RX.
1) If you have iTunes managing your media for you, if you change any of the information of that track, iTunes will move the file or rename it, thus breaking any link to that file rekordbox has established.
2) If you deleted it from iTunes but not from rekordbox, rekordbox may still think the song is available and try to load it - which is why you have the error. The song is in the database but the file is not available.
This is what i expected. So it is a problem that should be fixed on the XDJ-RX, right?
No, this is a problem you have created within rekordbox by allowing files to be managed by iTunes. Find one of the missing files, right-click on it and select "relocate missing file." You could do this to the entire collection to relocate all of them by selecting all songs before you right-click.
But i think many people have their files managed by iTunes. And if the want to delete a track they will do this in iTunes. I do not want to say that the problem is within rekordbox because you should have the opportunity to relocate the files just like you said. But it is still a problem on the XDJ-RX that the regarding deck crashes if you load a missing track.
Deleting a track from iTunes doesn't automatically delete it from rekordbox. If you were syncing playlists, it would remove it.
But the problem is that the unit crashes. This should not happen no matter how i manage my files..
I agree, you should be able to continue without having to reboot, and that has already been brought to the attention of the engineers -- but there is some responsibility on your behalf as the DJ to manage your files properly.
Yes you are right. Since i got to know this problem i frequently check rekordbox for missing files and delete them.
Thanks for your time by the way
