An additional 2.7s to load FIVE more hot cues than the CDJ-2000NXS ... and he's complaining? It's not just "more data," the player does so much more.
I'm sure you can guess what my answer is.
Will there be speed improvements to the NXS2? I know it may pull some more data but there is a noticeable speed difference between the NXS and NXS2 as noted in this video.

lol, I'm sure the engineers can find a way to let the track be playable on load while other things happen in the background too
If you wanted to have the full load time take longer, sure. I don't see 6 seconds as being a problem to load 8 hot cues to memory.
for last second deciding songs you want want to drop as time is counting down, those 6 seconds are critical. I don't dj the same tracks in the same set every party... I react to the crowds reaction and think of stuff on the fly i want to search and drop quick so those 6 seconds are definitely crucial especially when we know it can be done being others are, I just don't want to use the others cause i would miss you Pulse, lol
If you've left your track selection to less than 6 seconds remaining, your previous choice will have to do. ;)
still, we know they can be improved they just need to think harder, lol
Well at least the price has been improved... :)
For that price they should put an i7 in there.
it should have a little man that comes out an djs dinner time for ya, lol
You guys are never happy, are you? :p ;)
Off course not Pulse!Believe me you don't want customers who are happy with everything.
Also we pay a lot, and expect the best from pio.
I totally agree with you, but I will also state that 5.7s load time to call up and store 8 hot cues into memory is relatively quick. Complaining about the price only tells me that was a more important criteria than the performance was.
It's more complicated :)
I pay the price pioneer wants for the new players, but i expect improvement in any direction. And in loading tracks, let's be honest, there is no improvement. Is the same thing like a nexus 1, just with 8 hot cue's. Nothing else has changed, and that's why the players seems to be slower. They are not slower, they are equally fast (in track loading), just the nxs2 has more hc to load. So, price up, but no improvement in that.
And don't get me wrong, i already have the players.
I'm sorry guys, I've been a DJ for over 20 years and I have never found 6 seconds to be the difference between making or breaking a mix... and when I started DJing it took at least double that to load and read the CD, never mind find the track, cue it, etc... all without hot cues or any of the current fancy features.
Naaaah Pulse! The cdj100 was fast as hell!
I don't say i need it to be faster. But Brichi say it, and i understand it. For me it's ok, but for some one else not. I say that it should be faster. It's the new top flagship dj player and it has to be best in everything.
more of my point is other companies are doing the same features and they load everything instant on track load so it is possible, i feel the hot cue loading was a bandaid to make people happy that they load automatically by creating a quick "script" so to speak or macro for the players to run and they stuck with it instead of trying to improve it
It's quite simple - if you want quicker load times, disable the auto-load.
If the "other companies" are offering hardware that can do even HALF of what the CDJ-2000NXS2 does, I'm sure it still wouldn't do it as well.
to be perfectly honest Pulse, other then the few issues I posted about in other threads I love the decks, the speed is similar in loading to the NXS1. I just feel we know they can improve it somehow by loading in the background while the track plays or something along those lines, other then those few issues the decks are great
