In the video that was released showing off the new plx 500 it mentioned it was good for scratching, which is what I would use it for as a third deck two my set up. Can any of the mods or anyone lucky enough to have tried both the plx 1000 and new 500 attest to the quality and durability of the 500 to use as a battle scratch turntable. I know 1000 is the safest way but if the plx 500 is just as good for what I need then I would like to get the 500.

The PLX1000 is WAY better than the 500. They seem similar spec and build-wise, but having spent some time using them, I felt the 1000 was much more suited to DJing and the 500 feels more for light DJing and casual use at home.
Agree. The 500 is more of a play at home piece where as the 1000 is a battle TT.
