DDJ-RX Suddenly Stops

Hello all, I'm stumped a bit here. First I read this post HERE to see if that would resolve my issue, but it seems the guy had a similar but maybe different problem.

My DDJ-RX just quit in the middle of a performance. My laptop stopped playing music in the middle of a track. The software didn't die or shut down, just stopped as if I had unplugged the USB cable (which I didn't). I had my tablet running rekordbox DJ already plugged into channel 4 and instinctively hit play on a track I had loaded and it worked fine, but all the lights on the DDJ were OFF! Then suddenly channel 1 and 2 on my laptop started playing again and the lights on the DDJ turned back on. This happened twice.

I have an ASUS laptop intel core i7 with 24GB Ram and quad-core 3.4gHz. I have a 186GB SSD as my main where I keep all my software and my music in on the second drive which is a 1TB internal HD. Just trying to give you all the specs I can thnk of. USB cable is new. I'm running the latest version of RB and I've only had RB and the DDJ for about 2 months as I just switched over from Traktor.

I would love any insight on this matter. I thought maybe it was the power issue as well, but I'm not totally sold on that yet.

DDJ-RX engineers would like to know if you saw the illumination, which you usually when you launch the DDJ-RX, after the freeze was restored at the time of your comment below.

If you saw the illumination, the power of DDJ-RX turned off for some reason. Did you plug the DDJ-RX directly to the wall outlet? Didn't you use a faulty USB cable to connect the controller and your computer?

If the illumination was not lit, the controller should be investigated further at a service center near from your place.

When the music stopped, the lights or illumination went out. Yes it did come back on once the music started playing again. When I purchased the DDJ-RX it came with a USB cable. That is the cable I've been using with this and it is only about 3 months old.

It is possible that somehow the DDJ turned off. Not by me, because I was about 3 feet away from my DJ table at the time.

Hello Heydjbobby,

Did you often have this DDJ-RX stopping issue? Or, only a few times you saw it?

Because a power adapter is used to connect DDJ-RX, the power is not turned off even when the USB cable is unplugged.

This issue might be caused by either one of the below：

The power is interrupted instantaneously for some reason.
A fualty power adapter
A faulty DDJ-RX

They will not be able to identify the cause of the issue.

Will you please provide us with more detailed information including the above question?
