SeguirDJM A9 keeps cutting sound with Rekordbox
When connecting DJM-A9 with Rekordbox (windows) as an external mixer or through Pro DJ Link with CDJS and mixer, The output sound keeps cutting off, although the track is playing and you can see it on the computer screen (or the CDJ)
The channel faders vanish with the sound, then kick back in after a couple of seconds.
Tested this on 2 different DJM-A9s and the same problem occurred. Any solution?? perhaps new mixer firmware??

@Allaw212: How have you connected the A9 with rekordbox? Via LAN or USB? If USB you're using USB-B or C connection? What CDJs you're using? If there would be a connection issue, you probably would go into emergency loop if you are using CDJ's up to CDJ-2000nxs2 in Export Link mode. In Performance mode I have experienced the same issue you described but it was due to the USB-C cable which was too long to keep a stable connection with the A9. As I needed a longer cable, I am using the USB-B connection on the A9.
@SusiSpecial: The CDJ-3000s are connected via ProDJ Link (Export Link mode) as the CDJ-3000 is loading the entire track. At least it is less likely that it is a connection issue. Just to be sure - you are not using Performance Mode?
@FrankRichter Connected Via USB-B cable (Native Instruments USB-B Cable)
I also tried with my new Samsung S23 Ultra USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the A9 with my laptop, but the problem remained the same on 2 different A9's
It is crucial to have a stable sound connection between the mixer and RekordBox, yet there is no solution :(
@Allaw212 I haven't seen this issue with my A9, especially not in Export Link Mode. How long is you USB cable? Which CDJs you are using? Is the issue still there when using an USB device connected directly to the CDJ previously exported from rekordbox?
@FrankRichter The problem mainly occurs when connecting the A9 to RekordBox Performance mode as an external mixer (via both USB-B and USB-C). The sound basically disappears a few seconds after playing a track, and keeps cutting off about every 20-30 seconds.
When connected to cdj3000's using pro dj link (over USB-B's) to Rekordbox performance mode, the cdj's load some tracks fully in some cases but in some others it loads parts of a track (usually the beginning)
This is on a PC, I haven't tried with MAC.
My A9 is connected to RB via performance mode.
It is not a really a problem between the A9 and Rekordbox.
The CDJ 3000 (2 of them) sometimes stopping sending Signal for 1-3 seconds randomly. The same track works fine the next time.
Both CDjs using the USB conenction from the A9 via Ethernet, no USB to the PC.
I noticed it is not the A9 (alone at least) to the Spdif audio interface, because when I use a effect like spiral, I can hear the echo effect continuing when the audio signal from the cdj cuts off, except the A9 receive the signal from the cdjs again. Then is runs for minutes or 2-3 tracks fine, sometimes it happens 1-4 times in a track, then it happens on the other CDJ or even not, it isnot reliable, it is extremly random... The CDJs are using Digital SPDIF, no analog Signal.
Sometimes I can play a whole set without issues... then I have 1-10 times signal cuts in a hour.
For equipment worth of over 7500€ simply not acceptable.
The USB Audio Interface is a Focusrite 8I6 3rd gen.
If it happens with Performance Mode, I am pretty certain that it is because of the connection via USB. I experienced this as well until I have found the best settings / cable to use. You may check your ASIO settings of your A9 - mine are as in the picture attached.
In addition how long is you USB cable (B or C). Is it plugged into the computer directly or via a hub? If it is via a hub, is the hub powered or not?
Why you are using an USB Audio Interface. The A9 has it's own Audio Interface. You may need to explain more in detail what your setup includes and how it is connected.
@FrankRichter both USB-B and USB-C cables I've used are just under 1m (around 90cm). No hub connection, connected directly to the laptop
@Allaw212 This should be fine. Could you share your rekordbox audio settings in performance mode please? But I am running out of suggestions...
Are you having a Windows Laptop? If yes maybe your Power Settings of your USB can play a role in case the USB wants to go into power save mode. Not sure MacOS does something similar.
Same problem here A9 keeps cutting out,my connections in performance
are all correct, I even went out and purchased a USB powered hub
but the problem still exists I updated all drivers Audio, Video, Bios.
I also have re-installed the all of the pioneer A9 drivers many many times
I just updated to the new firmware from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2 problem still exist
pretty sad for a $2,600 brand new DJM A9 mixer.
PIONEER PLEASE FIX THIS CRAPPY WINDOWS PC DRIVER!
