are you using export mode via a stick or performance mode? May sound daft but have to tried a different USB stick? Could be read times for those big fat wavs?

XDJ XZ sound quality issues when increasing BPM
Hello, I am contacting you because I have just purchased an XDJ XZ, and I only use sounds in wav, 16/24 bit (32 is not supported) in 1411kbps.
The problem is that when I mix, as soon as I play a sound at +5% bpm compared to its original speed, there is a sort of crackling and a general drop in the quality of the sound (the individual gains and the general gain are less than 1/3 so the problem does not come from there. And this can be heard both on the monitoring speakers and on the direct recording on the key.
I'm connected to a 3.5mm jack and I've already changed the cables to see if it made a difference.
Has anyone ever heard of this problem? I'm supposed to go on a big date in a few days and I'm pretty nervous!
Thank you very much for your feedback!

sounds like the issue you’re experiencing with your XDJ XZ—crackling and a drop in sound quality when increasing BPM by +5%—is likely related to how the device handles time-stretching and pitch adjustment on high-bitrate WAV files, rather than a problem with your gains or cables; the XDJ XZ can sometimes introduce artifacts when pushing tracks beyond a few percent speed change, especially with 16/24-bit WAVs at high kbps, so one workaround is to either limit BPM changes or pre-process tracks in your DAW to the target speed before playing, and ensure your firmware is fully updated; by the way, while troubleshooting, I also found that searching for things like monster truck coloring pages can be a fun way to relax before a big gig, so don’t stress too much, and try testing your set with smaller BPM adjustments to avoid crackling.
